Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is incredibly affordable. The financial aid leaves something to be desired. The financial aid office requires enrollment verification 3 separate times throughout the semester, payment is also distributed throughout the semester as well. In many students' opinions, including myself, this is a waste of time and is incredibly inefficient, as many of our courses are online anyway. This happens, as it has been explained to me, because they have a high default rate with payments after financial aid has been distributed. Not my problem. It has become my problem, though, and there are ways to do things in which the people who are benefiting from financial aid do not have to suffer based off of past mistakes. It would be quite simple to construct a list of financial aid students and send emails to the instructors they are taking classes from to verify with just an attached pdf. It would save paper too.

Career Services: Although the main degrees that come out of the Jackson Campus of CWC are Nursing and Culinary Arts, most people have already placed themselves in the positions they need to be in to further their careers. Those positions being CNA's at the hospital and Sous Chefs at local restaurants. The idea of a career center at our tiny little remote campus would be not only a waste of space, but completely unnecessary. That being said, we do have a jobs board where local businesses are welcome to post any opportunities they have available.

Student Body: Being a pre-nursing student, all of the classes I take are very specific; anatomy, physiology, biology, etc. Because many of the students are taking the same courses many semesters in a row and with the combined interaction required with labs, we all have become very close. Considering it is a very small campus, these classes are only offered once a semester and they require a lot of studying. The nursing program is very competitive too; only 8 people get in per year. With all these factors combined, the students bond fairly quickly out of pure desire to succeed. And we succeed together. It's very positive.

Facilities: I am attending a remote campus of Central Wyoming College in Jackson, WY. This unique way to attend school has improved my desire to not only attend every class, but strive for as many A's as possible. Most classes are offered at a progressive arts building in the center of town and the staff is always available for any questions and just random chats too. The staff, specifically, has encouraged my growth with more "high-fives" than I know what to do with. This personalized experience also helps me to remain accountable for my goals and my future. I highly recommend them as well as their expertise.

Tuition & Financial Aid: FAFSA was a hassle, the Financial Aid office lost some of my paperwork right before the semester started. However, the Hathaway scholarship that was provided to me by the college made it a little more tolerable.

Academic Experience: Because I only switched to this major at the beginning of this semester, I cannot accurately review my experience... yet.

Academic Experience: Professors are extremely entertaining and deliver material with unshackled energy. The class registration process is simple and online. The work assigned to the students is relevant to their area of study and prevalent in every day life.

Academic Flexibility: The curriculum is flexible for the most part. However, during the spring semester, the number and variety of classes available dwindles.

Student Body: The majority of CWC's students come from a rural background. The student body isn't as diverse as I would have hoped, however, there are small cliques among the student body that are difficult to ignore.

Campus Resources: The arts center is colossal, with two theaters and a gallery. The library offers areas for group study, individual study, a computer lab, and has a large selection of material.

Campus Resources: There have been several times during the semester that the server went down, Making logging into online classes impossible.

College Junior

Facilities: Because I have never been to another college, I cannot answer this question.

Overall Experience: I enjoy CWC immensely. The size of the school is what makes it great. It is not so small that it feels empty, but there are not so many people that you feel like just another number. The instructors are extremely personable and willing to help.

Online Courses: I suggest only taking online courses if you are going to MAKE yourself sit down and do work. With online classes, it is easy to wait to work until the last minute, which will eventually hurt you severely.

Career Services: After leaving school, it is always hard to find a job in the field you studied, when somewhere around half of people don't even get a job in their major. The teachers have been great about letting us know when job opportunities come up.
