3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: On a lot of nights on campus you can find a group of people have a small party. The bulk of the parties are on Friday and Saturday. People are always in high capacity at the parties that go on but there are few that get shut down because of a fight or two. The experience is somewhat positive but not all the time.

Off-Campus Dining: A lot of the off campus options are in Xenia. a lot of these options are better than what is offered on campus. I haven't been to Xenia a lot but I have some of the options for food that it has. I don't have a lot of information about student discounts.

College Sophomore

Majors: I don't have any information on internships but counselor's any other faculty are always letting students know about any available internships. I do plan on doing an internship during my sophomore year to get some level of experience for the career that I want to have.

Facilities: Many of the facilities are close and readily available. There are a few things that need to be worked on as far as the library making sure that the printers are available for students that don't have access to their own printers. The computer lab is always open until 10pm even though some of them go out of order sometimes they are ready to be used by any student needing them. I do suggest getting a laptop and printer when the library is experiencing problems.

Athletics: The basketball team is probably the best team we have and has the most support. The football team doesn't get as much support even though students are there to cheer them on they don't win a lot of the games that they have which drives a lot of people away from wanting to attend the games at times. The football program is getting better due to a new head coach being hired so I feel that things are looking up for the football program.

Greek Life: There are many Greeks who are welcoming, fun to be around, and are easy to talk to. Then there are those that are snobby, cliquey, and only join to have a title and don't live up to the standards of the organization that they are apart of. For the most part, Greeks are always helping out the community and are always concerned about what is going on at the school whether good or bad.

Academics: Being an English major at Central State University is good experience. The workload is not that strenuous. There is course a lot of reading that requires you to analyze every piece of literature that you read or assignment that you do. Critical thinking skills are very important for students to have as well as having the ability to make inferences. The Charles H Wesley building is not too far from any of the dorms and is always open for anyone to go into to speak with faculty and staff.

Academics: Registering for classes is not that bad of an experience. you have to apply early or even as soon as registration is available to get the full advantage of classes that will be available for the following semester. When students register late that takes away a lot of the classes that could have been offered if they were to just apply on time. the other advantage of applying early is that you are able to set up the ideal times for your class schedule.

College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I don't know about lot of people that don't live on campus and I don't know a lot of people that live off-campus to give any information on it.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Be careful with who you associate with

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Same few restaurants McDonalds, Bob Evans, Applebee's etc. Unless you plan to drive about 20 minutes to Fairfield Commons.

1 College Junior

Diversity: If you are apart of the LGBT community then you should feel right at home because more than half the campus is either openly or secretly gay, or bisexual. Also there really isn't any diversity there are probably about 10 students that are not black attending the campus as a whole. Majority of the campus are "Christians"

Facilities: Life on campus is very depressing and this is coming from someone who "got involved" as far as organizations, social events and forming friendships. So don't let anyone tell you that you need to get involved because sometimes that is worst. Also there if you are not a party animal, or greek their is rarely anything for you to do on campus. Careful not to get sucked into the night life at Central because that is usually the only fun their is unless you plan to stay in your dorm every weekend. Nothing surround the campus so there is really no where else to go and nothing to do. Food is garbage, people are sneaky, cut throat, out for themselves, liars, and thief's.

2 College Junior

Campus Strictness: People and administration would tell your and your parents how they make sure the campus is safe drug free, and free of crime but truth is they don't. There has been riots, fights, deaths, and a number of other things take place on the campus that should have never taken place.

3 College Junior

Majors: Their are only about 39 degree programs at Central State so that is not a lot to choose from. Also you need to watch the accreditation there because there are always rumors of certain programs not being accredited.

3 College Junior

Majors: The learning and skills that were shown to me were based on certain professors that I had.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: The financial aid on campus can be a headache. Most of the officers from cash management to the financial aid office are very unprofessional, you also have to watch your account very carefully and make sure you are on top of your stuff their because you will find yourself "financially stuck" at that school if you don't

1 College Junior

Campus Dining: If you are a vegan or vegetarian then you will not have really anything to choose from except a little salad bar that has brown salad, and not so fresh veggies most of the time.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: For the most part the guys and girls are easy to get along with. Some girls will occasionally not dress their best but for the most part they dress appropriately. Some guys sag their pants while others don't. Many of them care themselves with respect and dignity.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: A lot of the time the food in the cafeteria is good but some days it could be better. There is also a taco bell and a burger place to chooses if you decide not to go to the cafeteria.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: The administration is very strict about keeping the campus a dry campus. The campus police are always cracking down on students who drink and smoke in the dorms as well as outside them. RA's do room checks routinely to insure there are no drugs or alcohol present in any of the rooms.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: My overall experience was mostly a learning lesson at my school

3 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: The local atmosphere is great when i'm with my close friends.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: The off-campus dining is good just not a lot of options.

3 College Senior

Health & Safety: The Health and security on my campus is ok but can be improved
