3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I'm doing a basic education transfer degree

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Central Carolina offers a variety of great associate degrees. Some of the careers the college can prepare its students for include nursing, cosmetology, esthetics, dental hygiene, dental assisting, accounting, barbering, and business administration. The school is filled with great professors who want to help students obtain their career goals. The school also offers a program called "C-Step," or Carolina Student Transfer Excellence Program, which helps students successfully transfer to UNC. Students who participate in C-Step are more likely to have a smoother transition and more likely to graduate.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Being a pre-dental hygiene student at Central Carolina is hard work. The prerequisites include Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Intro to Computers, and Algebra. The program tends to be competitive as the college can only accept 14 students each year to the dental program (it used to be 12). However, if you are willing to give it your all, you are certainly at the right place! The professors are amazing and they care about your success!

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Not that many electives and help with transfering to 4yr college after completion

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: We have our own building for Vet. Tech students, which I prefer because it'a not crowded and we have our own lab rooms rather than sharing with other students from other programs. We have certain criteria that is to be met which enables us to maintain a clean and safe working area. If other people were aloud in our classrooms I don't think the rooms would stay as clean.
We must complete two externships during our 2 year program that helps give us experience in real life situations. We also have our own colony animals to enrich and take care of which gives us the hands on experience we need as well.
