Guys & Girls: There are a variety of different ethnic groups.

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Everyone here is really friendly and really open to meeting new people.

3 Recent Alumnus

Guys & Girls: Many different people. Mainly divided into three subgroups... athletes, theater/music enthusiasts, and locals people. Everyone is very nice and easy to get along with. Most stay within their subgroups at social events, but I found it fun to intermingle with all groups.

There is no "average" student on our campus. We have such a diverse group of students that it is impossible to label anyone as "average"—although there are a lot of athletes and performing arts students.

Overall, the girl-to-guy ratio is pretty even, and it does not affect dating on campus.  However, it does seem that everyone who wants to be in a relationship is in a relationship, and everyone else doesn't want a relationship. Students are, for the most part, more reserved than promiscuous. There aren't a bunch of goody-goods, and there aren't a bunch of bad seeds.

Social Scene
The social scene is great on campus. Everyone is friendly and not afraid to say "hello" to one another. It's also a small campus, so everyone somehow knows everyone. Students like to hang out and watch movies, go out to eat, have small parties in their rooms, or go out to parties.
Hookups or Relationships?
There is a mix of hookups and relationships among the students. A good amount of students try to be in relationships, but others just want to be single and play the field. Hookups usually begin at house parties, but it's not like everyone's sleeping with everyone else. It's a small campus, so you learn quickly to be discreet and not do anything you wouldn't mind the rest of campus finding out about.
Dress Code
On our campus, there really is no dress code. It is very common for students to attend class and parties wearing the same outfit, whether it's jeans and a tee or sweatpants and a hoodie.
