3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I don't live on campus, but the dorms seem somewhat nice

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: The campus is small and offers free laundry.

5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Depending on the dorm that you live in, you may or may not get a great social life just because of how the rooms and dorms themselves are designed.

5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I personally love campus life. I live in Salisbury Rowan which is a freshman suite style room. The dorms are some of the oldest on campus but some of the biggest. Living on campus gives you plenty of oppurtunity to meet new people and participate in the events.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Old but Awesome – Campus is very old, as is most of its undergrad housing. Old and in need of a few repairs, but not bad at all. In my freshmen year, I stayed in what was known as the most disgusting dorm. It remains to be one of the oldest buildings on campus. Did that make it terrible? Not at all. With the right furnishings (and the right company), that disgusting dorm became my home.

Dorm designations change almost every year; a dorm that's for upperclassmen one year, may be for freshmen the next. However, freshmen typically have two or three dorms to themselves. Woodson and Salisbury-Rowan (SR) are both decent freshman dorms to live in. When it comes to upperclassman living, Abernethy Village consists of five upperclassman dorms and is the newest complex on campus. As an upperclassman, you will want to try to get into one of Abernethy's dorms.

Pine Knot has a horrible layout. Each suite has three connected rooms without doors between them, and the shared bathroom is at the back of the suite, so the person in the first room needs to walk through the other two rooms to get to the bathroom. Hurley is an upperclassman dorm for students in good academic standing, with at least a 3.0 GPA. Foil House is a great dorm to live in, but only houses about 20 people. Hollifield is also a nice upperclassman dorm where students like to live, except for the ghost that's rumored to live on the top floor.
