3 College Junior

Academics: The only difference I would make is to offer Sign Language, and possibly other classes, at more than one time.

3 College Junior

Academics: I have yet to fully experience the workload and time expectancy for the work, but I am praying it is doable with my athletics.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: It is pretty and very nature related, but me being a city girl that will be difficult to adjust to.

3 College Junior

Majors: I wish there were more options as far as being able to major in one subject and minor in the other. I plan on having an internship soon and I am hoping I will be able to balance it with softball.

3 College Junior

Majors: There are certain classes that I want to take but cannot take them because of the limited time options. It is not really willing to work with sports schedules.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: I am aiming for great safety being that this is a Christian College.

4 College Junior

Athletics: I am taking part in athletics so I am hoping that they are great!

3 College Junior

Diversity: From what I have seen, Carson Newman seems like a pretty diverse campus.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: I have yet to experience the full Nightlife but it is definitely something that I look forward to comparing to my last school. As far as how much they go out or just have fun little game nights instead. I do not want going out to be our only source of fun.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: From what I have read and looked into, it seems like the dorms are pretty strict but to a reasonable point.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: I have not seen the housing yet, but I have been told that the Swan building is beautiful.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: I have not experienced the Greek life because I am involved in sports.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: I have yet to experience the off-campus housing experience. I cannot rate it due to that reason.

4 College Junior

Diversity: I like attending a University because it's more diverse

4 College Junior

Campus Dining: there's a wide variety of food on campus, and you can eat all you want in the caf. What could be better? I have the unlimited meal plan so I could go in at 12pm for lunch, eat a big lunch, and go back in at 1:30pm and eat another big lunch all over again.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: The cost for Carson Newman per year is quite high, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. If you have a high gpa, you can receive an automatic academic scholarship of up to around $7,000. And there's obviously other opportunities as well such as work study, etc.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The professors I've met so far seem very nice and willing to help you with anything they can.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: My professor was telling me all about the job opportunities his graduates have landed since leaving Carson Newman and I'm talking about editing for the Ellen Degeneres Show, touring with Beyonce as her videographer, editing for a reality tv show, etc. If you put in the work, it seems like you have a really good shot at getting the job you dream of.

4 College Junior

Majors: If you're going into a competitive field such as nursing, film, physical therapy, etc; I would suggest you attend the earliest registration so you can get in the classes you need before they fill up. I waited until the last one and had trouble getting in some of the film classes I needed, but luckily, my advisor squeezed me in even though the classes were already full. Not all advisors will do that, and not all classes are able to add extras though.

4 College Junior

Majors: I've only attended early registration, and I've already learned about all the exciting film events coming up like film competitions/festivals, internships, off campus study in LA, etc. I'm very excited

4 College Junior

Athletics: I'm very excited for football season :)

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There's a mcdonalds and sonic within minutes away which makes for a great late night shake for me:)

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: I wish some things were a little closer but I can get used to it.

4 College Junior

Facilities: I was able to view some of the film studio areas, and production labs and I'm impressed and very excited to be able to use the facilities :)

4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: I'm excited to live in the dorms and I'm not worried about strictness of rules :)
