Academic Experience: the workload is great for the month spent to obtain medical assistant certificate, great curriculum, instructor is amazing and enjoy the hands on and real world comparisons given in class.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: great instructor, no need to register for classes since classes are given to you, you only need to sign up for program

Career Services: They focus on career I Spokane area, they help with getting externships out of the area of Spokane which I like. job perspectives are avg.

4 College Senior

Student Body: not much of a ethnicity mix, they don't let me speak Spanish due to the anglo ratio to Hispanic, not much of a diversity

Overall Experience: great instructor, love the hands on

Campus Resources: it does no have an athletic center, nor many campus activities

Tuition & Financial Aid: My financial adviser was fantastic and got me the maximum grants and loans available to myself. She recommended I llok into private loans and I have been very successful in finding low apr loans. I am confident that all will be worth it in the end.

Campus Resources: Resources great. Computers & libaray avaiable.

Career Services: They were very helpful right as soon as they called me back to answer my questions. I came in, the lady set me down, talked about all the programs they have here and once I chose one that sounded good to me she gave me a brochure about it. She explained everything to me, even made me an appointment to talk to someone in Career Services, as opposed to community college where you had to go stand in line to talk to someone in financial aid. Four hours later, I was registered for school, all set with financing, and started school the next week. Very Impressive.

Campus Resources: I love how fast paced our courses are. Everything we practice or learn is really going to help us get a job once we start externing somewhere.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: The computer labs are great, very organized, everything is set up. The only downfall is that everytime any student needs to print something, he/she have to install the printer on the computer, each time we log in, regardless of how many times we have used the same computer.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: computer access is great, and there are always people i can reach online at home as well.

4 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I should have applied for scholarships/grants/student loans much sooner, I just didn't know what all my options were or where to look since I'm an adult returning to school. I feel like the financial aid process has been a hassle and the office hasn't been a lot of help finding other options for me to use during a time crunch.

Online Courses: i have not used the online classes and will not because taking online classes make me nervous.

5 College Senior

Career Services: The career services at carrington college are just right, they say that they'll help you find a job once you get out. There are steps that we have to do in order to get help.

Academic Experience: The academics offered at my school would be medical assisting, dental, billing and coding and so much more. The reason I choose medical assisting is because my adviser explained to me how to program works and how short and easy it would be to obtain my certificate for medical assisting.

Academic Experience: I'm in the medical assisting program at my school. My classes are not what I expected them to be, they're actually pretty fun and exciting, everyday is a new start and I enjoy my time at school. It's way better then what I had in mind. Everyone is friendly and they always greet you, the teachers are positive and very helpful. I enjoy attending my college. Everyone gave me bad reviews but i just had to check it out for myself.

Academic Flexibility: Transfer of Credits – There is no flexibility of classes; the terms are laid out and the times are arbitrary. This is good and bad; no hassles or indecision, but definitely not something you can "work around". I couldn't transfer any of my previous credits which meant I had to take some unnecessary classes and pay more money. But the truth is, I knew this going in, so it's no surprise.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Finances and Budget Woes – I had chosen not to take out a loan and made a payment plan with the school. I lost my job and couldn't make my payments. These people have worked with me, lowering my tuition payment obligations, setting me up with people who can help me and generally working with me in compassionate and competent ways. The school is expensive, but worth all the energy and help they put in toward helping one succeed.

Campus Resources: Carrington College Is One of the Best – The first term academics are a bit of a joke; entry level English, Sociology and Psychology; although they are taught by great teachers. It seemed very elementary, but I'm an adult learner and I realize there are people entering the program with less experience or education than I have. The teachers are knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. The second term was more challenging; it was a bit disorganized due to teacher turn-over, but all in all, the classes were doable and the clinical instructors were awesome. I'm in the third term now, and academically the most challenging, it is the most organized I've seen and that helps keeping everything straight. One of the things I would change about the school is the attendance policy which is very strict and I think unnecessary with adult learners. It offends me that we are paying lots of money for this school and the attendance policy is punitive. Another thing I would change is the dress code. Understandably we need to be uniform when going out into the community, but I don't think the corporate decision makers are taking into account social norms and changes. I myself do not have piercings or tatoos, but I think a lot of unnecessary time is being spent on the younger students who have them. It's their right! There is no carpool program; we are all very dependent on ourselves for getting places, but the school itself is right on the MaX line.

Campus Resources: Network Is Excellent – The college has a computer lab stocked with accessible computers, that are very fast, and easy to use. There is also a computer class offered in the programs, so you learn how to access a computer, as well as learn more about using applictations such as Microsoft Word, and typing.

Academic Flexibility: I Absolutely Enjoy This College – I have highly enjoyed my experience here at Carrington College, and have even recommended the college to friends and family of mine. I enjoy this college better than a regular community college, because I feel that the staff and teachers really care about their students, and are always availible to help them. The class schedule is also something I highly enjoy here at Carrington, because you can attend class in the morning, afternoon, or evening.
