3 College Freshman

Nightlife: I go home on weekends.

4 College Freshman

Majors: Everything for me went pretty smoothly.

4 College Freshman

Majors: I'm in Early Childhood/Special Ed, so far so good. I love my professors and the classes I've had so far. Carlow seems to prepare you for the future. Very satisfied.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: Everyone at Carlow seems very nice and helpful.

5 College Freshman

Scholarships: Carlow has amazing staff, everyone is so nice and helpful.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Not an issue at Carlow.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The dorm rooms are spacious compared to some I have seen. Classes are close. Dorms and bathrooms are kept very clean.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Lots of options in Oakland.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: There are a lot of things to do in Oakland. Carlow always have events you can attend.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: I am glad I decided to attend Carlow.

5 College Freshman

Drug Safety: This doesn't seem to be a problem at Carlow.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: The foods pretty good. Wish there was more variety.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Carlow was definitely the best school for me. Small University, big city, love it!

3 College Freshman

Athletics: I'm not involved in the athletics, but support my University.

2 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: There are a lot of the same type of people here. The girls are high maintenance and wear a lot of make up and smoke, or are really into sports, or are really weird and into subculture stuff. The 15 guys who go here are socially awkward.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Again, it isn't terrible but I've seen better. The room isn't tiny but for the freshmen dorms the furniture is impossible to rearrange. The fire alarm is also extremely sensitive to inhibit smoking: you simply can't smoke at all. The fire alarm goes off if you straighten your hair in the room without opening a window and the building has to be evacuated. This'll happen multiple times a week at any hour of the day (usually past midnight, though).

3 College Freshman

Diversity: I've seen worse cases of diversity, but it isn't outstanding. The people here have good intentions but are mostly ignorant. Most are accepting to the point that they know how to be.

2 College Freshman

Computers: You need to bring a computer and you need to bring an ethernet cord, otherwise any internet access will be an extreme hassle.

1 College Freshman

Parking: There are only four small parking lots and it never seems as though there are enough. People drive around for what seems like hours just to find a spot.

5 College Freshman

Scholarships: Carlow will throw money at anyone if it means they'll come here. In some ways it's bad because there are people who maybe didn't need to attend college but are still receiving financial aid, but for the most part I'm happy because I'm only paying room and board. It's saving me a lot of money.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: We recently had a program required of all students in order to learn about emergency plans in the event of a shooter on campus. It was highly informative and assured everyone that we are safe here.

4 College Freshman

Majors: For social work there's a plethora of internship opportunities. Same with most of the other majors. Since we're in the city and so close to offices, hospitals, and other places of work, it isn't at all hard to find somewhere to get experience.

5 College Freshman

Majors: I would totally. The program is super helpful and is really preparing me for my field. I plan to either go in to medical social work or youth social work. Right now I am shadowing the director of the Early Learning Center on campus to get a feel for working with young children, and next semester I plan on interning at a hospital in order to grasp what the hospital environment is like.

2 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: If you don't like strict policies, Carlow is not for you. I appreciate it, but I can see why people would get annoyed.

4 College Freshman

Nightlife: You have to go off campus for it, but it's worth it. It's good to have the separation between our school and the parties but it isn't at all hard to get there, basically down the street.
