2 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Very old. No A/C. Haven't updated in YEARS. holes everywhere. just gross.

3 College Freshman

Parking: Before 10AM its easier to find a spot. anytime after that and before 5, almost impossible.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Its right by Columbus and a very easy drive there or bus ride, so there is always someplace new to try. If your not into driving, theres plenty of places on main st in walking distance.

3 College Freshman

Academics: Its great as long as your here for nursing, art, or music. if not then you may as well not come. Music majors and people actively involved in the Conservatory of music are treated like royalty here.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Never heard anything about drugs on campus before

1 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: The Bexley police are constantly patrolling as well as the Capital police. If you were to walk down Sheridan Ave (party street) at night with a group of people, the Bexley police will practically slow down and follow you to wherever your going. No one parties on their front porches or even in the upstairs of their houses. Police will come to just say they got a "noise" complaint. Overall they are very nosy and spend way too much time trying to bust underage.

2 College Freshman

Diversity: Nothing really to say about it except its kind of nonexistent. There are some ethnic people on campus, and they will hand out A LOT of money to people who are not Caucasian with not so good high school grades.

1 College Freshman

Scholarships: This school is infamous for promoting that even though tuition is 41,000 a year, they give out so much financial aid its like attending a public school. wrong. I'm currently paying almost 30,000 to go here. they trick you into thinking you are paying less by giving you and your parents a subsidized or unsubsidized loan... which makes your tuition look anywhere from 5000 to 10000 less than it actually is.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: Since freshman are allowed to have cars on campus, and all on and off campus housing is owned by the school, you can always find a ride somewhere. Even if you don't have your car on campus its very likely your roommate or friend will be willing to drive you wherever you need to go. Since Capital is in Bexley/Columbus area, it is very close to the airport and there is always COTA buses driving around to take you wherever you need to go.

3 College Freshman

Majors: Im in the business program here at Capital, and its a good program. It is definitely not something that is too promoted here, and is not a popular area to go to Capital for. I do however love my professors, and having small class sizes helps with learning and keeping grades up. I am transferring though to a more academically diverse school though. Pretty much only come to Capital if you are interested in art, music, or nursing.

College Freshman

Majors: I haven't had an internship through my school.

3 College Freshman

Computers: I really don't use the colleges computers as I have my own laptop. Although from what I've heard from other students, the computers and labs and networks are pretty well up to date on all the new things available.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: I can't really rate Greek life, I have not looked into any Fraternity's yet. I'm sure it could be an exciting experience. Just as my first yr has been at Capital University has been. I didn't want fraternity life to distract from my first yr of college life, but I am truly looking forward to it for my second yr. Capital has some amazing fraternities and sororities that do a lot of community services all over campus and other ares.

4 College Freshman

Weather: Capital has a great grounds crew. They keep our sidewalks clear of snow and ice along with our parking lots. They keep our grass cut and trimmed, our flower beds are beautiful. When I moved into my dorm in august, they were working on Lohman dorms, by putting on new ruffs and things to help with the heat. They changed the old tar parer on the ruff with some new stuff, not sure what it was, but it has made a nice difference.

3 College Freshman

Majors: I do have some concerns, because it will involve me either moving to L.A. or New York for my career choice.

4 College Freshman

Majors: I feel my College has been wonderful to work with and they have encouraged me a lot along the way. Since I stared my freshman yr of college I have changed my major only twice, but many, many times in my head. My counselors have given me great encouragement.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I am only a freshman and I really haven't explored off campus housing. I have been to busy with my studies. Although I can say this about off campus housing, I'm pretty sure it better than on campus housing because our dorms are not air conditioned. I don't know how may off campus houses are air conditioned, but it can get pretty warm here in Columbus, Ohio, so I'm sure it is a great advantage.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: While some might see college as a time to party and drink and abuse questionable substances, most see it as a place of higher learning, and this is reflected in the campuses attitude towards drugs, alcohol, and noise. There are good amounts of quiet time enforced, and the honor code holds us accountable for our actions. Student organizations are very encouraged as a way to help us bond, make life friends, and explore our identities. Attendance policies are as expected, but this isn't really helpful with the lack of parking on campus or around it.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The college was established in the early 1800's, and many of the residential buildings reflect this age, with minor improvements to make it better. The academic portion of campus presents brand new and air conditioned buildings to learn in. The campus is kept moderately clean, although there is only so much that can be done in terms of keeping old buildings clean. There are plenty of vending machines and exercise equipment for use all over, and people are often seen gathered in the "Campus mall", a collection of benches and fountains situated right in the middle of campus that leads off to the 4 sides of the campus. Although small in area, the campus still feels very spacious in i ts own right. When spring comes, and the trees are full of leaves, you might almost forget you are just a few minutes away from Downtown Columbus, and might even be fooled into thinking you are in a rural countryside. The campus is really laid back, with a good emphasis on finding who you are, and this reflects the value systems that the campus holds at its heart. The price for attending here, however, is quite high, even higher than some Ivy league institutions.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Aside from having little place to park around campus, the area offers many different commodities. Ranging from a movie theater, dining, and shopping, there is also an art gallery, and many historic buildings. Religious life is a big thing on campus, and is reflected by the numerous amounts of churches, synagogues and other places of worship around campus. The Sports center offers a very wide array of sports equipment and locations to train in and practice with as well.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: Everybody has differences. The majority of students are accepting of others except in a few minor cases. We all tend to generally get a long with eachother. We attend a smaller college than most, and even though it's a small school, we have a large diverse population of students.

5 College Freshman

Drug Safety: I never see anyone doing drugs and I know that they take great precautions to keep it that way

5 College Freshman

Academics: I think there is a great amount of classes that you can take and the quality of classes are amazing!

4 College Freshman

Computers: There are a lot of computers to sue, I have my own personal computer so I don't use the campuses computers much, only for printing

3 College Freshman

Transportation: For freshman there is a shuttle bus that will take you to the parking lot that is off campus, but my car is on campus so I don't rely on any busses
