5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I've had administration and teachers at Cape Fear Community College that were not helpful, but in the program I selected (Marine Technology); everyone has been wonderful!

Campus Resources: Cape Fear Community College has everything I need.

Campus Resources: Cape Fear Community College has excellent computer labs.

Tuition & Financial Aid: It's tuition, so I don't love it and I don't qualify for Financial Aid which is very very frustrating.

Academic Flexibility: So far my experience at Cape Fear Community College has been great.

Online Courses: I have never personally had a problem with the online courses offered.

Career Services: They offered great career testing and advice.

Student Body: I haven't been involved with any of these aspects.

Academic Experience: I've attempted several colleges, and several programs and I've never been so excited about any as I am about the Marine Technology program at CFCC. It's hand on training - not sitting in a classroom and the job placement success rate is over 90%. Each semester we take our 135 ft research vessel out up and down the east coast for real life training and hands on experience that can not be found anywhere else. I only wish I'd have enrolled sooner!

Academic Experience: I only give this review based on the Marine Technology program; there are other programs at CFCC I have heard horror stories about. Yikes!

Student Body: It is a good school for those who don't know what to do when they just go out of high school

Facilities: The downtown campus is very open, the whole scene is like a college campus, except for the fact that there is a lot of smoking right infront of the buildings and parking lots and decks are horrible.

Facilities: My school has so much going on all the time! We have the unique river view that is very exclusive! Also we are in the heart of downtown so plenty of coffee shops as well as a lot of different eateries that are all unique in their own way!

Online Courses: Online work can be a bit of an aggravation, but once they are started it is like nothing was ever wrong to begin with. Most of the time the assignments are not due for at least a week from the assigned day, and you can also view weeks to come assignments.

Career Services: The options the school offers for post-grad are really great, they can help write resumes, as well as help to set up interviews with prospective job offers. Also they can help with interview anxiety! They can go through a pretend job interview and ask similar questions to help you discover what you may need to work on in the future to better your chances for scoring your dream job!

Tuition & Financial Aid: I have been trying to receive financial aid for two years now and according to the government I unfortunately do not qualify for financial aid, the school has offered financial aid to me as well but I have not been able to afford tuition even with the school financial aid. The financial aid department gives everything it has to try and make it possible for your dreams of a good education come true but the classes are well worth the money you will pay.

Academic Flexibility: I thoroughly enjoy Cape Fear just for the fact that the instructors and administration want you to do well. Honestly I would not change my mind. Tuition is reasonable, for some people I honestly just need help with some of the tuition and books. So I will be able continue my education at Cape Fear Community College.

Overall Experience: Cape Fear Community College is very respectfully school around. My classes starts in few days and I can not wait to start my new student journey.
I'm very proud that I become part of Cape Fear CC and will follow my dream to study Business Administration. Cape Fear is school which have something for everybody

Academic Flexibility: All of my classes are very flexible. I was very happy to go to school five days a week and still be able work full time. I also transfer some of my credits from abroad, Cape Fear Community College is school which work for you and with you.

Facilities: Cape Fear Community College is my first school in US. I went to school back home and it was seven years ago. I remember how exiting is be a student. Cape Fear is respectful and amazing school around. Facility is look very new and taking care of, teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful. I'm really proud to be part of it.

Academic Flexibility: I like the days that my classes are offered, so I don't have any frustrations regarding to flexibility of my classes. The only problem I encountered was not understanding how different it is to get a loan at a community college in comparison to a university. At UNCW, they made it so easy. So when I went to CFCC, I had no idea I was to file my loan applications on my own.

3 College Junior

Online Courses: I enjoy online courses; however, some classes seem to be more difficult without a face-to-face interaction with a teacher.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I obtained a B.A. from UNCW in Environmental Studies, concentrating in coastal resource management. I love the program I'm in currently because it has increased my technical and scientific knowledge.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I have enjoyed making friends and stepping out of my comfort zone. I live at home so it is easy to just float by without talking to anyone. Getting to know the professors is also fun. I have attended a basketball game and it was very fun watching the guys team play. I would not choose to do it all over, because I believe you are where you are for a reason, and why change that when it could turn out to be something for the good.

3 College Freshman

Facilities: The school has wonderful potential. It is a community college, so there are things that could be worked on; the dining could be updated as well as study spaces for the students. The professors do not always have the student's best interest. Overall it is an average school, a good college to attend to tansfer to a four year University.
