3 College Sophomore

Majors: The Family & Child Studies major needs some work. It is still in it's beginning stages and has a lot of opportunity for growth.

College Sophomore

Majors: I haven't had an internship.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: There is a diverse group of people at CU.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: There should be more study areas throughout the campus buildings.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: There are many different cultures and ethnic heritages at Cameron. CU is a very diverse place.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: Very nice! Open and spacious seating!

1 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: If you like fast food like mcdonalds and burger king, the town has all you need. If you are like me and do not eat fast food, buy a forman grill. There aren't many healthy eating places here. the two best are McCallister's which has been open less than a year, and subway.

2 College Junior

Scholarships: I was able to get loans and grants from the government like most other students in the country. If you would like a scholarship form the university, do everything you can to avoid being either white or male. If you are both you do not qualify for any scholarships at this school. Scholarships are only offered to minority students unless you get one from your program/major.

Nightlife: Cameron University has virtually no party scene. There is no where to even have one on campus. Your best chance for fun at this college is at the bars in Lawton. In all honesty though, the bars in Lawton are awful. I recommend this university and this town to absolutely no one, under any circumstances. This is a terrible place to spend your youth

1 College Junior

Campus Housing: The dorms are small and around 50 years old. The school built some apartment style dorms called the village, you can tell they were very cheaply constructed. there is virtually no social life. The school offers no amenities, there is virtually no social atmosphere. the only positive is the low cost, however, living off campus like I currently do is a far better deal.

1 College Junior

Athletics: Cameron University has the minimum amount of athletic teams they can get away with. The school has a stadium with a football and soccer field but only lets the local high schools use the facility. Cameron has no football or soccer team. Students do not pay attention to the sports the university does offer because the university does not promote them.

1 College Junior

Guys & Girls: I am a male so I do not notice anything about the other males on campus. I have noticed the girls at the school are rarely attractive, and if they are attractive, they have a spouse already. Lawton is an awful town and Cameron University is an awful university.

1 College Junior

Greek Life: Cameron University does not have Greek life.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I live in the dorms. The showers break every couple of weeks and there has been flooding into the hall carpet that they put a fan to dry out and since the carpet is 40 years old its disgusting. They clean the bathrooms, but they are so old. The community lounge is gross and there's hardly any furniture.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I'm not sure because I live on campus in the dorms. There aren't a lot of apartments around, if people live off campus they live in tiny run down houses in large groups.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Some people never get caught drinking, if you're loud and obnoxious than it'll probably happen and consequences are immediate and severe.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There's a lot of fast food and some really great places if you're willing to drive. Broke college kids aren't to worried about fancy restaurants.

College Freshman

Transportation: Our campus isn't even a mile across, farthest walking distance is 7 minutes max.

1 College Freshman

Nightlife: There's not much that goes on here. You have to drive 45 minutes to denim and diamonds to dance and the town has little for college age people.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: For being in the middle of Lawton, campus is extremely safe and I've never had an issue. I can walk alone from the library at night and no ones out. My car has never been broken into and nothings ever been stolen.

2 College Freshman

Computers: The library has issues with the printers all the time. There's other labs only available to residential students and one open to all but it's very small and printing is limited.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: There's only a couple options, only a little involved with campus.

4 College Freshman

Academics: I've learned a lot, and the professors care.

5 College Freshman

Scholarships: Do it early and be proactive and you'll get it!

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: The police are very friendly and always walk around campus saying hi to people.
