Local Atmosphere: As soon as your off Freeway 99, on exit 215, there are a variety of shopping options. There is from food to clothing and exercising! There are a variety of restaurants from each end of the street Monte Vista. The weather is fabulous during the Spring and Summer! Turlock is very safe during the day, I am not familiar with the night since I Commute. Students here are extremely nice and counteractive ! This campus is located in a great location, surrounded with great people!

Athletics: Student involvement in athletics is overall pretty good. Basketball games can get kind of crazy with the gym filling up. Other sports like baseball or tennis can get neglected by student involvement. We have good school spirit and our athletic facilities are in very good shape.

Health & Safety: Stan State is located in the nicer side of Turlock which is a great plus. The campus its self is very safe except for a break in the happened a couple months ago. Campus security is also very kind and are there to assist you when ever you need it. I personally feel very safe here. There are not much crimes that occur in the area.

Campus Housing: I love living on campus! It is very convenient because everything you need is right there. The dorms are all like miniature apartments which is very nice compared to other dorms you see at different schools. Although it can be kind of pricey, living in the dorms has its perks. Residents get free printing, laundry, and movie tickets. Housing also host many events throughout the months like trips to the zoo, museums, or aquariums which are all free.Every week there are also study secession which housing provides with tutors. Resident Assistants are also very kind and helpful, they help make you experience in the dorms much more fun.

Transportation: Public transportation here is fairly cheap like other places but it can take a long time and is not very reliable. In order to get to the train area from the school you would need to take the bus because its to far of a walk. The bus once again can take a long time so asking a friend for a ride can be more convenient. All the buildings on campus are walking distance from each other so transportation is not necessary.
