Campus Strictness: Campus strictness is what it is. There are rules and you need to follow them, and if you don't and you get caught their is consequences to them. They are not that bad you just have to know your limits and know that somethings you can't do, due to other peoples convinience

5 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: I like to have a school where there is strictness involved but also have the opportunity to have fun in the college atmosphere.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: I have never had an issue with any of the authorities on campus.

Campus Strictness: We have a really strict Academic Integrity policy- so don't cheat. Don't even think about cheating. Once they catch a whiff, and they will, you're automatically put on review for suspension or expulsion. Parking is their equally strict sister, people get ticketed and fined so easily and frequently...

Campus policies are put in place in order to keep students safe. Even though CSUSB is considered a dry campus, there is one place on campus allowed to sell alcoholic beverages—The Blue Coyote Pub & Eatery. There tends to be a problem when it comes to underage drinking in the dorms. In fact, drinking in general in the dorms is a problem. Students 21-and-up do not like the fact that they are not allowed to drink in the dorms. Those who are caught with alcohol have to fill out a report and may be expelled from housing. In general, RAs are very lenient with students since they themselves are college students.

When it comes to attendance policies, it is up to the professor. Some teachers will take attendance and make attendance a part of a student’s grade. On the other hand, some professors will not care if a student attends class only on days that he or she has a test. For the most part, many professors can agree on one subject: plagiarism. Many professors have a no-tolerance policy rule for plagiarism. The police on campus are there to enforce the rules, but at the same time, they are very helpful. As for the administration, staff members are there for the students and tend to be very helpful. Even though the administration cannot bend the rules for a student, it will try its best to help.

Facts & Statistics

Visitation Policies
The visitation policies apply to students living in the dorms. During the day, residents are allowed to have guests over without consulting with a resident adviser (RA). In order for a guest to stay overnight, the resident would have to tell the RA, who then fills out a form, approves the guest, and provides a guest pass.
