Majors: I had more of a rougher time I would say than other students. I completed my Golden Four along with 60 units worth of transferable courses. I applied to CSUB, then found out my speech class was transferable but did not count as a Golden Four. I had to spend another year at a Community College to finish one speech class. This time my GPA dropped a little so I was denied admission. However I made an appeal to the head of admissions and he understood the struggles that students face at Community Colleges, financial and family problems, and he sat with another admissions evaluator and they decided to accept me to CSUB. So it wasn't simple, but it was worth it.

Off-Campus Dining: No student discounts, there is variety and a lot of healthy places to eat. Not just a lot of fast food places

Majors: I love the Micro department. Dr Laure is the best (hard) but best instructor. But the other biology teachers feel their overall average scores should be 60-70%.. not too sure why

3 College Senior

Majors: I have not had an intership

3 College Senior

Campus Housing: I have been told they the students staying in them are not the cleanest and that there is no enforcement on the issues, and that they are expensive, but overall it is cheaper to stay in town

3 College Senior

Scholarships: They only assist if you contact them

2 College Senior

Athletics: Sports are not advertised enough, events are never mentioned

Facilities: I do not like the fact that student repeat so many classes just to pass them. The chemistry department has recently blocked the teachers from enrollment view. You no longer know which teacher you have until first day of class. This is because student were picking specific teachers. The school should not have done that. Some teachers teach differently and to a students taste. Thank god I was finished with chem before the switch. But obviously there are issues with the teachers (some)

4 College Senior

Facilities: Access to the Library is great, and the hours are late. During finals they offer later hours and study sessions.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Some of the instructors are great, while others feel if the average of the class exam was at a 75% then the next test needs to be a lot harder, and they tell us this. A lot of te students in the Biology department are retaking classes constantly

3 College Senior

Guys & Girls: Dress and attire are fine at the school. Social life is fine as well, tough the texting is a bbit much. It constantly is a distraction with the intructors

4 College Senior

Diversity: Campus is about (statistically) 75% Latino and the 25% rest is African American and Caucasian. Oddly the school has scholarships for minorities, restricted to Latino, that's a bit confusing. Religion is not practiced on campus much. Politics are not either, and when it is it is in a non serious manor, such as office in a school representative. The politics do not hold up well

Local Atmosphere: Its a big city with very few noteworthy attractions sadly. It could do much better in that area and I can see it occurring sometime in the near future.

Diversity: There's a fair amount of diversity on campus from Hispanics to Whites to African Americans to Arabs. On campus there are a variety of clubs that represent Muslims, African Americans, Hispanics, Coptic Christians, Catholics, LGBT and international students. As a result, they do their part to promote their culture or lifestyle around campus to make everyone around a bit more educated through monthly events.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Its hot outside and freezing in the classrooms so you see a little bit of everything during the summer.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Don't really know do not live on campus.

4 College Junior

Diversity: Everyone just minds there own buisness. It is open minded, and no one is really negative towards any of the topics mentioned.
