3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Vallejo isn't the greatest place to go adventuring for food in.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Athletics is an important part of students college career.

2 College Freshman

Parking: Not only are spaces limited, but cars are often vandalized.

3 College Freshman

3 College Freshman

Computers: The wireless connection often fails, which is very frustrating. Be sure to save your work often!

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Cal Maritime just built a great new sports complex.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Cal Maritime is a dry campus because of its relationship with the Coast Guard licensing program, so drug and alcohol use is grounds for expulsion.

Parking: Parking is horrible here, there are never any open spots and the only one that has spots you have to walk up 300 steps of stairs.

2 College Junior

Nightlife: There are no parties on campus so a lot of us go out to other schools to party.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: The school is a dry campus so anytime you are caught with alcohol in your room or on campus you get a violation and have to attend a board review on your case.

2 College Junior

Transportation: The best is to have a car on campus, but incoming freshmen are not allowed to have one. Public transportation is unreliable so the best way is to have your own car or ask a buddy.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Vallejo has a reputation of being dangerous but a it is a close drive to go to Berkeley, San Francisco, or Davis to hang out.

3 College Junior

Diversity: Majority of our school are Caucasian which makes a lot a minority. Also the school is majority males also.

4 College Junior

Athletics: We have a big fan support of our teams since we are a very small school.

2 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: The school requires you to live on-campus but you can petition to live off campus if you have certain criteria met and by winning the off campus lottery. They are horrible with telling you if you got off campus and do not help you find a place either, you have to look on your own.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: Our school has a zero tolerance policy where no illegal drugs are allowed. We get random drug testing and also a dry campus which means no alcohol is allowed either.

4 College Junior

Weather: We live right next to the water so we get a lot of nice sun and a cool breeze to relax.

3 College Junior

Majors: For my major as an Intentional Business and Logistics studies, it was like joining any other business programs. At this school it would be good to know about the maritime aspects of thing so you have a better understanding with it since our school is based on the maritime industry.

3 College Junior

Majors: For our program, we do a lot of presentations and being able to work with programs used on the shore side companies of the maritime industry. We a unique opportunity of getting to travel to another country for a few weeks to learn about the shipping companies and ports over there. Also we are required to do an internship to graduate which opens up a lot of networking for us cadets.

3 College Junior

Computers: Our computers are basic, has all the programs you need to get by but they are quite slow.

College Junior

Greek Life: Our school does not have a Greek Life.

1 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Both fast food and a few nice restaurants are available in the area, but getting to them can be a challenge due to transportation.

5 College Freshman

Academics: The academics are fantastic. There is a high stress on getting your work done and completed with mastery so that you will have the knowledge to apply to the field, as well as labs to develop the base knowledge in real life situations and projects. the combinations of both knowledge, experience, and a collaborative student body makes this school an incredible powerhouse of academic mastery.

5 College Freshman

Academics: This school focuses solely on the Engineering, Marine Transportation, and Business Departments. Each one of these programs has been skillfully developed and is taught by experienced professors to deliver a stunningly successful learning environment.

5 College Freshman

Computers: Technology is a key aspect to this school and it is made readily available for the students in high quality. Printers and scanners are easily accessible, engineering programs are available on school computers, high speed internet with secure connections (both wireless and Ethernet), and smart whiteboards are available.
