3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: ----could loosen up a bit

Guys & Girls: There's no attractive boys here. The ones that are good looking I hear are not the nicest people. I don't see too many relationships; it's more of a hook-up type of environment since we are in college. There are usually a fair amount of boys and girls at social events. There are more girls on campus than guys, so typically the amount of girls at social events outweigh the amount of boys.

Majors: I have never had an internship through this school.

Majors: I am happy with my program becaue it is what I'm most interested in and involves what I want to do for the rest of my life. I would still chose the science program for my college major if I had to do it all over again. I want to move on to veterinary school and hopefully one day own my own practice.

Facilities: I don't think we even have a Student Center. Campus life may increase if there were a Student Center and more activities.

Campus Dining: The food is not good. There's no variety in options; especially whe it comes to healthy options. You end up eating the same food every day. You can go to the dining hall, Jazzman's and Sandella's, or the RAC. All of them serve unhealthy food, and if they have healthy foods they are way more expensive.

Academics: My workload is lot because of my major. The registration process should be updated; if you can't pick a class online you must wait until a certain time and go to an office and hope there's a spot left in the class for you.

Facilities: If you stay involved you'll have fun.

Majors: I applied to Cabrini my senior year of high school. The science department was more strict about their policies and criteria for admission as a science major. I had a good GPA in high school and was very involved so it was not long before Cabrini responded to my application with an acceptance letter.

Majors: To be in the pre-medicine program it is very difficult. It has a stricter criteria than science majors without a concentration. I do enjoy my major becuase it's what I love to do. But I don't always enjoy it because it is a difficut major and some of the professors here make it even more difficult to learn and obtain all of the information we're given. We are not alud to complete an internship until we're atleast juniors, and the school must approve the internship. If you don't want to complete an internship then you must complete a year of research in the lab with a professor. At the end of both there are presentations and papers due to complete the process.

Campus Strictness: You can only have someone sleep over two nights a week. No one under age 17 can stay overnnight.

Parking: There are not enough parking spaces or parking lots at this school. The parking pass for the year was 100$

Weather: We are surrounded by so many trees that any little storm will cause trees to fall over, flooding the streets, power outages, and school delays or closings. This past winter we have missed more days of school than I can count due to weather.

Off-Campus Housing: For me, living off campus is more expensive than living on campus, but for other people it is different. It just depends on your financial position.

Computers: The Wifi works when it wants to on your cell phone, but on your laptop it typically works without any problems. The process to join the Wifi is a pain but the ITR department will walk you through it. Printing isn' t bad because we are alotted so many per semester. Though, many students don't know there is free printing in the Wolfington Center. You have to pay for all copies you want to make, and that is inconvenient.

Academics: It's different to be a science major in general. Cabrini is known for its education majors and communication majors. I believe those majors are easier than any science major. No other major requires lab for majority of classes, or has as much of a difficult cirriculum to follow, at any school. Cabrini's science department is small, and the professors really like to push us. For example, my chemistry professor claims to teach us things they probably would only make you learn at schools like Harvard. This is good because they are giving us a better education, but our grades could be effected by that in not the best ways.

Health & Safety: Campus is small so it's okay to walk places alone.

Drug Safety: It's college so there is alcohol and drug use on the weekends, and even on weekdays sometimes. You can smell the alcohol or marijuana sometimes. But other times you wouldn't suspect a thing because the campus is so quiet.

Off-Campus Dining: The food places around the campus are great. There's a lot of variety. Minimum variety for deliveries.

Nightlife: The nightlife stinks. You can go to people's dorm rooms and drink, but you'll probably get busted by an RA. So if you want to have a lot of fun go off campus, and be good friends with all types of sports teams.
