2 College Student

Scholarships: Butler does not offer much financial aid to caucasian females from middle class families.

3 College Student

Local Atmosphere: Love Indy and the opportunities it provides, but some parts can be a little sketchy.

3 College Student

Campus Strictness: Very strict when caught with underage drinking, but thats only if you get caught... which is a fairly rare occurrence.

3 College Student

Weather: Indiana weather is hit or miss. When it's nice out, fraternities will blast music while everyone lays out on the mall.

4 College Student

Drug Safety: The weekends are usually spent in drunken/hungover stupors.

3 College Student

Majors: Definitely need to widen the range of available majors to include nursing or some other medical field profession.

5 College Student

Majors: The Auto-Advance program for pharmacy is a one way ticket to a well-paid career as long as you get the grades!

4 College Student

Nightlife: Always something going on, but you have to know the right people.

3 College Student

Off-Campus Housing: You have to live on campus for three years, but living in a house with all of the friends you've made your senior year is worth it.

4 College Student

Health & Safety: BUPD is big enough to assist you and your emergency needs, but not large enough to go snooping around and busting parties on a Friday night.

4 College Student

Off-Campus Dining: Broad Ripple offers so many diverse options for dining out... especially nice when your parents come to Indy and can take you out for a decent meal!

4 College Student

Athletics: The basketball team hasn't been the greatest this year, but there are always sporting events to attend and intramural teams to play on!

4 College Student

Computers: IT will definitely help you with any technological questions you may have!

Local Atmosphere: Being in Indianapolis, there is plenty to do. The Children's Museum is downtown. The IMA is across the street, and Clowes Hall is on campus. Plenty of plays, musicals, and concerts go on throughout the year at Clowes.

Nightlife: Freshman and sophomore years include going to a lot of fraternities or senior houses to have a nightlife. Junior and senior year are mostly going to bars in Broad Ripple, and a shuttle is provided on weekends.

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Speaking as a Greek, the atmosphere is pretty great. I could see that anyone who is independent thinks that the campus does not have many options for non-Greeks, as most events revolve around competition between the houses.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Basketball is the huge sport on campus, though intramurals are also fairly popular.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Based upon other schools, I would say that Butler is about average. Drugs are not really a visible issue, but alcohol is very present, and unless a student has gotten into trouble before, the punishment is merely a slap on the wrist.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: A shuttle bus is offered over the weekend to go to one of the local bar areas, but just about everyone has a car, so finding a ride is very easy

3 College Sophomore

Weather: Indiana has some very strange weather, one day it's warm spring weather, the next day it is a snow storm. A down side to Butler in general is that the campus floods every time that it rains

Diversity: Butler is basically totally made up of midwestern white people. There is some diversity here and there, but most people are your generic, Christian, midwesterners.

Off-Campus Dining: The prime off-campus dining is Broad Ripple, which has a variety of restaurants and bars. Honestly, I have yet to find a bad place to eat or hangout. Only downside is that the area is about 10-15 minutes away from the university.

Academics: Curriculum is very well rounded at Butler, and it follows it's Liberal Arts education very well. Registration is a real hassle though, and the reason that I do not give it a 5 out of 5, because it occurs at random times of the day and gives preferences to athletes.

4 College Sophomore

Computers: Computer labs usually have available computers at any time of the day. The wireless is relatively reliable, no matter what system one uses. Printing is very easy and the credits are always enough to get through the year

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Relatively close community and fun
