Campus Resources at Bryant & Stratton College - Richmond: There is a ton of extra help available to students whether it be the resource center, librarians to proofread papers or the instructors themselves. Negatives are the network can be a bit slow and the library is tiny but the online resources are excellent.

Campus Resources at Bryant & Stratton College - Syracuse North: There are opportunities to get a certain amount of free tutoring through this school. There are many popular degree programs available for online courses right now. There are opportunities to take live streaming seminars that help to prepare you for things in the business world. I have been offered certification programs through this school that will help with getting a job while in school to help support financial needs and pay on student loans during school. Also, you create an electronic portfolio that demonstrates your knowledge throughout your college education for when you graduate and there is also assistance in finding employment after completing your degree program. I feel that these and more are great things to help with furthering your career and preparing you for your future.

Online Courses at Bryant & Stratton College - Syracuse North: When I had decided to go to college and knew that I would have to take online classes to fit my lifestyle, I was unsure of whether or not I would go through with it and begin but they had encouraged me and I was signed up and starting my first class in no time. It is very different from a regular classroom and some parts of class would be easier if in a classroom but I think having to have the self discipline to finish what you start is more challenging but much more rewarding in the end. The workload can be a bit much depending on which courses you are in because they go by so quickly. Interacting with peers is normally done in the weekly discussion forums and it is mandatory that you dialogue with at least 3 other students per week. The relationship you have with your professor is also done through technology and many of them at this school are not flexible with many things. However, you want to pass your classes no matter what so following the calendars for each course makes things easier for you so that you can plan ahead and be ready to complete future assignments when they come up.

Student Body at Bryant & Stratton College - Syracuse North: I am an online student so the only time that I converse with other students is if I have to do a group project with them or in weekly discussions during class where it is mandatory that you discuss the topics with a minimum amount of other students. My overall opinion of a typical student at this college is someone that is very busy otherwise from school and has a good idea of what they would like to do. I have not seen any other students in person so I do not know what others look like but I am sure by their conversational skills that there are many with different ethnic backgrounds, some having English as their second language, and people of all ages. There are students that have just graduated high school and students in their 50's. I feel there are students that anyone could relate to.

Academic Flexibility at Bryant & Stratton College - Syracuse North: The reason I chose Bryant & Stratton Online is because I compared their ratings with other colleges that offered online courses and I found that they were rated better than most. I got these ratings from a credible source and I am happy with the curriculum. There is little flexibility with the professors and the other available, elective courses. It is very fast-paced as well because the semesters are split in half into two sessions where each session lasts about 7.5 weeks so the courses go by fast. This may sometimes feel as if the class had gone by too fast and all information may not have been absorbed. I have not transferred to or from this school so I am unaware of difficulty or ease in transferring credits. I do feel that if you put in the effort and are determined that you will be able to get a good education from this school and with convenience.

Student Body at Bryant & Stratton College - Richmond: Our student population is VERY diverse. There is a good mix of all ethnicities. A typical student ranges from 18 to 40 years of age. Each with their own contributions to make and instructors to encourage them. The level of acceptance is campus wide and I feel that we all get along very well./ We understand that we all have the same overall goal, to graduate. With that in mind it's easy to see past religion, race or other obstacle and help a fellow classmate. I see it a lot at our campus, not jsut from students either and it makes me proud.

Online Courses at Bryant & Stratton College - Richmond: I have not yet taken online course with Bryant and Stratton. But if it is as well coordinated as the actual campus, then I know my experience will be just as positive.

Campus Resources at Bryant & Stratton College - Richmond: My campus' computer network and labs are great. I haven't yet experienced a period of no internet access yet. When there is a log-in problem or other computer related issue, the IT's are there in minutes of calling them. The speed of network is good. If I need help navigating a program or resource on the computer there is always a school representative that I can ask for help from. Wireless access is available all over the school and I have yet to experience a problem with it. Printing is free as long as it is school related. We also receive free scanning of text books that are required to stay in the library. Not only do we have computer labs that we can use, but if our teacher want us to type an assignment in class, there are carts of laptops that our teachers can check-out and allow us to use during class. We are even able to check them out if there is lull between class time and we want to work on something without having to be in a resource center!

Campus Resources at Bryant & Stratton College - Richmond: There are two resources centers, two libraries and student services is available until 9pm at night. There is ALWAYS a computer available if I need one. We also have scheduled tutoring where our actual instructors are available for a certain time slot and we can walk-in for subjects we may need more help with. Our deans are in touch with us via email and even cell phone if you so choose. We see them a lot in the halls and other school representatives too, which makes me feel like they really do want to be involved. The availability of someone to reach out to is wonderful, whether for tutoring or just support in getting through the tough parts.

Tuition & Financial Aid at Bryant & Stratton College - Richmond: Financial aid is never fun no matter where you are at or applying for it. One of the things I really enjoy about our financial aid at Bryant and Stratton is that the specialist sat down with me, explained all of my options, showed me every expense I would incur first, then showed me how to apply for financial aid. After completing the application process, my financial aid officer explained to me how much I was eligible for and how it would be applied in a spreadsheet so I could SEE where the money was going. Then after it was all said and done, I received a copy of the spreadsheet for my records and I was still able to contact my financial officer if I had any other questions. My tip for getting financial aid from Bryant and Stratton is just walk-in or call to make an appointment with a financial aid officer. They will guide you through the process and take the stress and guess work out of it. When I was finished I felt like I knew exactly how much I was borrowing and how much was grant money. It was good to be in control.

Campus Resources at Bryant & Stratton College - Richmond: My school is very involved with the students. I really enjoy the availability of a tutoring schedule that informs me of when there is tutoring available for me to just walk -in. The fact that I can request more if I feel that I still need more help is also great. We also have a class called FYE that has been excellent for teaching strategies for studying, money management, time management, relaxation, how to apply for scholarships (that's why I'm here) and other very useful resources and tips. The class is designed for first year students and really does go the distance to educate students about what is available from the school and outside resources.
