Academic Flexibility at Bryant & Stratton College - Buffalo: Online learning is by definition flexible. I had no hassles or frustrations because I set my mind on doing the best job that I possibly could. I put my schoolwork first. Transferring credits was also easy to do.

Campus Resources at Bryant & Stratton College - Buffalo: I was an online student only.

Campus Resources at Bryant & Stratton College - Buffalo: I only went on-campus once and visited one classroom area. The network and the online software and programs ran really well. Over the course of 3 years, I think there was only 1 or 2 occasions when the network was down. The school was great at updating their Facebook page to keep students apprised of the progress when there were outages. Teachers also ALWAYS extended deadlines when the network went down. You do need to have the Adobe Creative Suite software - I purchased it through the online bookstore and used student loans to cover the cost. You need a computer with adequate space and memory to run the programs, you need a webcam, a microphone, and high speed internet is best.

Academic Experience at Bryant & Stratton College - Buffalo: The Interactive Media Design program was unique. It covered web design and web development. It was a very hard program. I learned how to program in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and how to use all the applications in the Adobe Creative Suite (PhotoShop, Bridge, Dreamweaver, Flash, and Illustrator). It's a creative and challenging program of study. It's a program that will have you swearing in frustration and then also hooting out loud with laughter and delight when something works and the web page displays properly. The workload is pretty intense, and the curriculum is fast-paced and challenging. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Academic Experience at Bryant & Stratton College - Buffalo: The professors were great. I was on a first name basis with the content teachers. I enjoyed the content courses more than the liberal arts courses, but they were good, too. I was able to go on-campus and meet with one of my web design professors to receive extra assistance when I was having difficulty grasping a concept. He spent several hours with me, and he was great to deal with. I so appreciated the help, and it really made a difference.

Overall Experience at Bryant & Stratton College - Buffalo: I highly recommend Bryant and Stratton. It's a quality education, and the teachers really enjoy what they do. I only had 1 or 2 teachers that I wasn't crazy about (personality-wise), but I was able to deal with them and pass the class with no problems. The online experience is much harder than attending on-campus so you have to be really dedicated to getting through. You have to be diligent and organized. I would do it over again in a heartbeat. I learned so much and grew in the process (even at 50+ years of age). I maintained a 4.0 GPA while working full-time. I loved school.

Tuition & Financial Aid at Bryant & Stratton College - Buffalo: The financial aid rep I had during most of my degree program (Tommi) was great. She was straightforward, responsive and easy to deal with. Towards the end of my program, they assigned me someone else, and I never spoke to her. I was disappointed to lose contact with Tommi, and I'm not sure if she left or if she only handled students at a certain level or what. The education I received was a good one, but it is a private college so the tuition was expensive. I will be paying back student loans until I'm almost 80. Only tip I have is to be proactive. If you need something, ask. If you have questions, contact them.

Career Services at Bryant & Stratton College - Buffalo: I haven't had much post-grad contact other than a couple of emails and one phone exit interview. If you are interested in post-grad assistance, you need to contact them. I am a little disappointed there wasn't more assistance with scholarships to future schools. I have only spoken to the career center, and the contact person is always someone different. I rarely speak to the same person twice which also complicates the process.

Student Body at Bryant & Stratton College - Buffalo: All interactions were online, and interactions were only related to the courses and course content. Most of my peers were also half my age, and that made some interactions different. They were nice, but we didn't have a lot in common.

5 Recent Alumnus

Online Courses at Bryant & Stratton College - Buffalo: Online learning fit best into my busy schedule (I also work full-time). I liked the convenience of studying and doing assignments on my own schedule. The workload was intense, but it was a challenge that I gladly accepted. The professors were great and offered extra support and guidance when it was needed. Most of the peers in my classes were good to deal with, too, and I learned a lot from the online interactions.

Campus Resources at Bryant & Stratton College - Hampton: The student center is a good place to know. You can get help with anything at the student center.
