Academic Experience: My academic experience has been fantastic because I went into the legal studies program hoping to gain knowledge that would allow me to advance in my grad degree. I am very pleased that I chose legal studies because all my professors are experienced and genuinely care about the success of our student body. My professors are very helpful and always discuss new ways are degrees will be beneficial out in the real world. I have learned so much new material that some of my friends who are getting ready for law school ask me questions and references about a course subject. Because my professors have given me different tools to navigate my success for law school I am able to help my friends and I will a clue for what to look forward too when I too go to law school.

Academic Experience: My teachers are the best thing a student could have because most of my friends and even myself when I went to a university more than half of the teachers had no experience in the field of study he or she was teaching to myself and others, but because he or she had been teaching so long he or she gained knowledge. I despised when I would ask a question and the professor would say look it up or figure it out. I couldn't believe that I was hearing these responses because in undergrad it is suppose to be a learning, but new experience. In grad school these responses would be appropriate because you are at an advanced level and should have some discipline on how to look topics up that you may not understand. At my school any questions or any doubt is answered with hesitation.

Tuition & Financial Aid: This happens to be the worst area in my school by far because when I first entered my school and signed up for classes my veterans benefits were entered correctly and I had no issues for a year and a half. Then a lady quit and everything seem to fall apart. A lot of staff that had worked in the financial aid department had either been fired or quit and no one seem to have a clue to fix the issues. I had to babysit and go down and have meetings with several financial directors and the campus president. Since then, things have gotten a little better, but it still I is not completely resolved and I have to email to ensure things are done right. Other peers of mine say he or she hates financial aid and that it is the worst department in our school.

Career Services: The good things about my field of study is that I plan to go to law school so my degree will be valid and I do not have to transfer credits or worry about if my credits will transfer. My professors are mostly attorneys or have worked in the legal field for quite sometime so I am able to gain contacts in order to network.

Academic Flexibility: I love the fact that my school offers one class a month because not only is it flexible with my work schedule, but it also is very easy to concentrate on one class at a time because life does get in the way. With we having one class a month I am able to maintain my 4.0 grade point average and work full time in order to support my family.

Campus Resources: My school has a huge resource center which is the career services center which gives students opportunities to build or update his or hers resumes, job openings, and interview skills and techniques to land the job of your choice. My school also has academic advisors who deliver the morning message about new volunteer events and and community activities that are currently getting ready to take place or that are coming up. My school actively creates games and school outings that are either free or discounted to help build the com morality in the school environment.

Student Body: The diversity in my school is well put together and I would say that some organizations really do get involved with the community and also with politics that are currently occurring in today's society. For instance I am part of the Dream Act organization and our organization has taken various steps including myself to fight for immigration reform in order to improve diversity. It is not right to not allow an undocumented alien who has been here their whole entire life education due to two fault of his or her. It affects students each and everyday because how can he or she better themselves or expand if he or she is being denied something most Americans refuse to gain, but have the privilege to obtain. I see it each and everyday, the faces of hurt and disappointment, which in the end hurts and disappoints myself and my fellow peers.

Online Courses: I will have to say that I am more of a in class student and prefer lectures face to face. However, given the fact that my professors go over what our online day will be about and what is expected of me the day prior, it is easier to manage online days and complete the necessary assignments for that day. If I have a question I can email my professor or simply contact a classmate and get the homework completed.

Overall Experience: I have had the best and most knowledgeable teachers a school could offer. Every professor I have had and still have are well educated in field of study which pertains to the class. I never have to rethink if a professor knows what he or she is talking about because it's proven each day I learn something it sticks with me vice going in and out of one ear.

Overall Experience: The good thing I enjoy about Brown Mackie College is at the end of your degree each student must go on as an intern and gain 120 credit hours with a professional group or company in his or her field of study. When I was preparing for graduation with my paralegal degree I not only absorbed the knowledge I received from two criminal and family attorneys, but I went with them to have that life impacting experience to see how the legal world actually worked. It was not your typical internship where you get stuck behind the desk and do just paper work. I loved the fact that our school takes pride in our intern sites and give us great opportunities to gain impacting and life changing experiences for the better.

Facilities: It is a no-nonsense school for those who are focused on achieving their goals. Not a place to play around. Many academic opportunities. Not a social facility for social activities or clubs; is for strictly serious students.

Career Services: Mr. Chalandon L. Walker is a great asset to Brown Mackie College, the students and faculty. He is very resourceful in getting people connected.
