Drug Safety: Students who attend BYU sign an honor code stating that they will not partake of alcohol or drugs. Yes, there are students who still do what they want, but it is not prevalent or popular to do at all.

Drug Safety: I haven't seen anybody using drugs since I've been here. I have heard that some people do it, but I haven't been affected by that at all. I haven't even noticed.

Drug Safety: Part of the honor code not to use drugs or drink

Drug Safety: There is definitely a reason that BYU is constantly voted the most "Stone Cold Sober" school in the nation. Because of the Honor Code and the large LDS population drug and alcohol use is virtually nonexistent and it's fantastic. Like anywhere else if you're looking for it hard enough you can find it, but it is definitely not mainstream.

Again, due to the Honor Code, drugs are strictly prohibited and rarely seen or heard of. Students deeply appreciate the problems that are avoided by having a drug-free and dry campus and community. The safety benefits and lack of drug- related violence and drunk-driving problems really reinforce students' commitments to follow these policies. Due to the Mormon culture at BYU, it is unlikely that there would be drug or alcohol problems-even without the Honor Code.

BYU is certainly an anomaly in having such strict rules, but students appreciate the benefits, and the policies are not likely to ever change. There really is no drug scene at BYU, and there probably never will be.
