Drug Safety: At BYU we live be a code, a part of this policy is that one student will be under the influence of any drug or alcohol.

5 College Freshman

Drug Safety: We really don't have a problem with this topic.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: It's against the honor code to use any kind of drugs or imbibe alcohol at all. Of course there are some that don't follow it, but they are an extreme minority.

Drug Safety: Its BYU. For the most part everyone here is mormon so they don't drink, smoke or do drugs at all. If they do, I don't know about it.

Again, due to the Honor Code, drugs are strictly prohibited and rarely seen or heard of. Students deeply appreciate the problems that are avoided by having a drug-free and dry campus and community. The safety benefits and lack of drug- related violence and drunk-driving problems really reinforce students' commitments to follow these policies. Due to the Mormon culture at BYU, it is unlikely that there would be drug or alcohol problems-even without the Honor Code.

BYU is certainly an anomaly in having such strict rules, but students appreciate the benefits, and the policies are not likely to ever change. There really is no drug scene at BYU, and there probably never will be.
