Off-Campus Dining: There is great variety and very delicious. However, it probably isn't very healthy.

Computers: The labs can get a little crowded but overall the technology and availability is great.

Off-Campus Housing: I have loved the off-campus housing. BYU has housing fairs that facilitate the process of looking and finding a great place to live.

Diversity: We have so many students from so many countries. The beliefs are usually similar though among the majority

Campus Strictness: The police sometimes just looks for something to do so they are pretty strict about parking tickets and other things, but overall they are of good quality.

Off-Campus Housing: The off-campus housing at BYU is awesome. Students still receive all of the on-campus amenities, and the school is extremely helpful in finding the right place for students to live. Most off-campus housing is withing 5-10 minutes walking distance from campus and is in decent condition. It is very affordable.

Scholarships: Financial aid process here is smooth and simple, but only so much financial aid is given. The school offers financial aid to many people, so the actual amount received by each individual is not that much.

Campus Housing: Living on campus is a lot of fun, there is a ton of things going on and you can find an activity almost every night. The amenities are limitless and their are convenient mini supermarkets by every major housing area. The cost is average for an average size dorm and meal plans are offered.

5 College Freshman

Academics: Academics at BYU are amazing! There is a class offered for just about anything you can think of, and all of the professors love what they do, and create a fun, interesting, and uplifting learning environment.

3 College Freshman

Computers: I have my own laptop so I don't use the labs, but sometimes the wifi around here annoys the heck out of me.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: People here are very BYU spirited! I love the atmosphere of games and the support we show to our teams.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Sometimes stuff is closed and other times you don't want to pay for what they've got, but most of the time it's great!

3 College Freshman

Weather: I'm not much of a snow person so winters aren't that fun, but you deal with it. Spring/Summer/Fall are wonderful around here though, the weather is great.

College Freshman

Greek Life: We don't actually have Greek life around here... so it doesn't apply to me.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: You just have to do a few essays and give your info and you're done. It's not too horrible, just takes a bit of time.

Transportation: If you really need to find a ride you usually can around here.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: the buildings we live in are really nice and new. The construction around is kind of annoying though because it makes getting to class harder.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: There's lots to do around here if you have a way to get there. People here are great and I like them.

A BYU experience is unlike anything else. The things that you will learn go far beyond what is taught in the classrooms, and the people that you will meet are exceptional. Researching the school, and being familiar with the rules and expectations of students, will make the transition smoother and help you get the most out of your BYU experience.

Talking with people who have attended, reading books such as this one, and looking at the BYU Web site (www.byu.edu) are all great ways to make sure that this is really the school for you. If you decide that BYU is what you want, then jump in and enjoy it! You are in for a great and character-building experience.
