Most students bring their own computers to Bradley, but it isn't mandatory or necessary because there are plenty of computer labs, and they rarely get crowded. Bringing a laptop instead of a desktop doesn't make much difference because most professors don't let students have laptops in class anyway. Some students who like to wander and work on homework outside of their rooms bring a laptop because of the freedom, but to each his own. Websites take some time to load at peak hours when many people are on the Internet at the same time, but the speed seems to improve as Bradley's computer staff makes updates and changes. The computers and network are straightforward, and the Help Desk staff is effective and friendly.
While the Internet isn't always as speedy as some would like it to be, it's still accessible, and most students don't bang their heads on their desks out of frustration. Sometimes it does seem as though the maintenance staff works on student email at inconvenient times, but it has to happen. Unfortunately, students have to change their passwords every 90 days, which gets confusing and frustrating, but it's supposed to improve students' security. Overall, computers are easy to access, the network speed isn't maddening, and improvements are always being made.
