Facts & Statistics

Tips for Getting In
  • Be involved in high school.
  • Do well on the ACT.
  • Have volunteer work on your high school resume.
  • Take summer classes.
  • Visit the campus.
Things I Wish I Knew Before Coming To School
  • Bradley classes aren't impossible to pass.
  • Bradley students are apathetic—not just about politics.
  • Don't take random classes. Find a minor instead.
  • Textbooks are a lot cheaper online than they are at the bookstore.
  • You can take classes, especially general education courses, at community colleges to get them out of the way and to avoid paying for them at Bradley.
  • You don't have to read every word of every book to do well in your classes. Go to class and pay attention, and you'll be fine, for the most part.
  • You need a car, or you need to make friends with someone who has one, if you want to leave campus.
Interviews & Information Sessions
If you call the admissions staff Monday through Friday, they will design a campus tour based on your needs. Weekday visits typically include a meeting with an admissions representative, a campus tour, a chance to meet with a faculty member, and lunch in a cafeteria.
Campus Tours
Campus tours run most Mondays through Fridays and select Saturdays when Bradley classes are in session. There are several other types of visiting programs to help prospective students get acquainted with the Bradley community and campus. Experience BU is a daylong program for admitted high school seniors to find out what it is really like to be a Bradley student. There is a tour of the campus and residence halls, lunch on campus, a tour of Peoria, and a session to finalize enrollment plans. Discover BU is for students who have not yet started their senior year of high school. This is a half-day program that helps students begin their college search and the college application process, and includes a Bradley overview and campus tour.
Overnight Visits
For high school seniors, Explore BU is an overnight program that provides an overview of Bradley, campus tour, student panel, faculty meeting, and lunch on campus.
