3 College Junior

Greek Life: I'm not apart of Greek life, but I have friends that are involved that enjoy it a lot.

4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: I think that there is some lenience because it is a public university, but not so free that you will never be accountable for your actions. It's a nice balance.

Greek Life: Don't get involved with Greek life

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: Has variety, gets old sometimes though.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Don't eat close to BG often, don't really matter.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Every building on campus has access for students who are handicapped or disabled. I think it's very helpful, makes camous life easier.

Off-Campus Housing: The school doesn't promote off campus living but does give out information about local apartments. Have to search on your own for more detailed information.

Academics: Some teachers could be considered not up to par for teaching the specific topic, but most are great! Can't complain

Academics: I love being an art major. Its a ton of work but so worth it. The teachers are actively involved and interested in helping students reach goals and success.

4 College Junior

Athletics: Athletics are a good part of campus life! Love getting involved!

Local Atmosphere: The atmosphere here is great and there is a lot to do. You just need to venture out and be willing to spend a little money. It is very flat in BG, so there isn't much of a scenery.

Overall Experience: Class sizes range widely. Sometimes a lecture is huge, but usually classes are small enough to get at least some one on one attention from professors if you need it. Most professors are always welcoming to students with questions. I have loved most of my courses. I have had some courses that are absolutely horrible too. Just like any college, you will sometimes get a professor that is absolutely useless.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: I don't think it's the best, but i don't think it as far from it. The education here has a very strong involvement from alumni, and the college finds hands on experience and internships very important. Many degrees require internships to receive a degree. There are also big jobs/internship fairs every semester in the union which gives many options to the students.

Off-Campus Dining: there aren't any discounts anywhere, but things are priced averagely. There are off campus options everywhere and there s anything you could think of. There are franchise restaurants everywhere, and there are privately owned restaurants everywhere as well. You can find any type of cuisine that you wish for. I highly recommend trying Easy Street Caffe. Also, there is a great coffee shop called Grounds For thought. Also Cookie Jar.

4 College Senior

Scholarships: I didn't have any issues with financial aid. I wish I could get more grants though since I have no help from anything other than the financial aid for finance support.

4 College Senior

Nightlife: The sports teams throw the greatest parties. Citi-tap is a very popular bar to go to. Liquid and Shot's Inc are good places to go for a club scene.

Greek Life: Greek life in Bowling Green is pretty big, but it's not a big deal if you don't join. Most non-Greeks think Greeks are snobby in general. I would highly recommend going out to join the Bowling Green Rugby team. It's different experience in many great ways. The Greek housing seems great. There are huge Greek houses all over campus.

4 College Senior

Guys & Girls: I think the guys and girls are generally good looking and carry themselves well on campus. There is a great interest in sports and activities on campus. There are loads of people that participate in intramural sports, and even though the varsity sports are the most followed, club sports are a big deal too. There are also co-ed intramural sports. It also seems as though a lot of people participate and make friends at the recreation center where people can workout, swim, take classes, ect. Generally speaking, the community is pretty fit. Bowling Green is also a big party school. It is a very big social drinking community.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: I've never heard of any issue with sexual assault on campus, and there are emergency poles everywhere on campus.

4 College Senior

Diversity: I think the Bowling Green campus and community is very diverse. There is a great variety of people all over campus. The only negative is that the diverse groups don't usually voluntarily mix, but there are never any issues between the groups.

4 College Senior

Athletics: Each team in Bowling Green has a fairly big fan following. There may not be as big of a crowd at the football stadium for BGSU as Alabama, but every sport team in BG is supported by fans considerably.

3 College Senior

Campus Strictness: I believe the policies are mostly fair at BGSU. There is a strict attendance policy, but I still think it is fair. The only negative thing that relates to policy enforcement is the police enforcement itself. The police have a very strong reputation for being treating people unfair regardless of the situation at hand.

4 College Senior

Academics: The curriculum and options of education you have at BGSU are great. The professors could be better, but the education is organized in a way that lets you explore your interests as well as allow you to make you into your best self.

4 College Senior

Academics: I think the Exercise Science program here is good. I think it could be better with the facilities. For example, lecturing anatomy and physiology in a classroom setting isn't as optimal as having lectures in a lab. Even though some of the lectures are boring and not exactly optimal for learning, there are great professors and the curriculum is great.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Though freshman year I lived in Kreischer Ashley, it was not nearly as bad as people make it. The only problem was the people in the dorm were gross, but the custodians did their best to clean it up.
