4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I have had a very good experience at this school. Most teachers will do anything to get you where you need to be, however some teachers are extremely unorganized, making it hard to do the work provided.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Workload is good and workable. Professors are always ready to help you in any way possible and registration is very easy to do. Curriculum is average; not many times are offered to take a particular course.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I had a really hard time with some professors because they weren't there to help the students, but other instructors were very helpful and supportive. Some of their curriculum didn't make much sense, but other parts were wonderful. Class registration can be difficult, but meeting with your advisor really helps with that. Workload can be high based on what you take, but you choose pretty much the amount you take. BGSU Firelands has excellent special study options with the Teaching and Learning Center. They help you study if you need it or set you up with a tutor. We don't have very many programs other than drama or art shows at our campus. I believe we have some basketball too.

3 College Student

Academic Experience: I am a post-secondary High School Student taking all of my classes at Firelands for the past 2 years. The teachers have all been fantastic, except for some of the sattelite classes I have taken at local high schools. The classes are flexible, class sizes are relatively small, and they can easily be all major-related. The only issue is that the classes seem to be at a lower level than some of the more selective universities.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I have enjoyed many of the Criminal Justice classes I have taken. They are very informative and the teachers know what they are talking about and are very professional. My only complaints are that I wish we would do more hands on things such and fingerprinting and investigating crimes.
