Campus Dining: Campus dining at BU is definitely the best at any college that I visited. That being said, its still not home cooking and the dining plans are pricey.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: it's extremely overpriced and I have trouble finding options in the dining hall that I like

Campus Dining: While I have to admit our food is pretty decent, certain aspects make the dining plans not worth it: costs, Make A Difference Monday, and early closings.

The dining plan costs increases every year but why? We don't know.

Make a Difference Monday is still present...again, why? As the saying goes, students feel like the only "difference" it makes is in our waistlines (because people don't eat in dining halls on these days).

Early closings: oh my. It's difficult to find food when the dining hall closes the entire first floor, it's a Friday during Lent (so no meat), and the cereals and fruits are gone....sort of inconvenient.

Honestly, everything could be dealt with if the prices would just stop going up!

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Overall the variety and quality of BU dining options are good. Warren is pretty standard and west is barely above average, but Bay State is exceptional and has interesting theme nights like "Chocolate Night" and visiting chef series that improve the quality of the food. The GSU has some great options and using convenience points to order Dominoes is a late night blessing. Other late night options include Warren late night (pretty junk food-y, but open until 2am) and Bay State late night, which closes at 11 usually but is a sit-down restaurant with sweet and savory crepes, pizzas, wings, salads, etc. Lobster night is overrated and Make a Difference Monday is the bane of everyone's existence.

Campus Dining: Vegetarian option is ALWAYS tofu. The tofu ALWAYS tastes bad.

While it is not uncommon to hear complaints about the food, most students will agree that BU is pretty hooked-up in that department. There is a huge variety and tons of places to use your meal plan around campus. To get your money’s worth, check out the specialty nights and the smaller eateries on campus. Remember, the meals are not refundable, but most of the plans provide many more meal than you'll actually need. If you do the math, each meal costs about $9, so eat up. Even if you just stop by for an ice cream, you may as well use the meals that you are paying for anyway.

The food at BU is conistently ranked one of the best in the country, which means someone’s enjoying it.  The presentation is very well done, too, so even if it doesn’t taste right, it looks like it should. Four years of the same food, however, will dull your taste buds.
