Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

The general feeling seems to be that Boston College is a wonderful school and an incredible experience. However, the first few years can be tough, as you may not be prepared for the enormity of the college experience. If you’re from a very diverse high school, you will certainly be shocked at the very different atmosphere that will surround you at BC. Furthermore, so many of your peers can appear like they’re having the time of their lives, and you might feel like you’re faking it, especially at first. Yet, staying the course is absolutely worth it, as Boston College is a wonderful institution with many dynamic people who will truly challenge and amaze you. If you give the school a little time to grow on you, it certainly will and you’ll be really glad you gave it
a chance.

Also keep in mind that while parties and tailgates are enjoyable, they are not the only things college life is about. Yes, you want to have fun, and you will once you get to know people a little better, but there are other reasons you came here. Remember that you are going to college to receive an exceptional college education, and Boston College will certainly deliver that and then some. Friendships flourish, enriching academics abound, and you’ll walk away a changed person.

Greek Life: I AM SO GLAD THERE IS NO GREEK LIFE ON CAMPUS! Builds a better cohesive community rather than a separated community.

5 College Junior

Majors: Majors help students to form a community among people that are like them. It is a great way to meet people with similar interests. Also because you are all taking similar classes and similar difficulty in workload you have a lot to talk about.

Majors: I have had a lot of experience working at local hospitals that I would not trade for anything. i have learned so much in Boston's hospitals and have made connections with professionals that I know will be helpful when I begin my job search after graduation.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: The only real concern I have for health and safety on campus is the drinking. Everything else is well handled by campus police and the university.

Weather: I love the fact that we have all four seasons. Summer is great for tanning and laying out as well as playing sports outside. Fall is beautiful and apple picking is my favorite. Winter is fun for sled riding. Spring is beautiful and the flowers on campus are gorgeous.
