Campus Strictness: They're pretty strict but it's understandable and you can deal with it if you respect it

Campus Strictness: i think it's lenient in the right areas and tough in the right ones too

Campus Strictness: BC says they are strict on almost every topic - especially underage drinking and visitation in dorms but I never had any problem. In 4 years I never got written up and I never had problems having people stay over in my room. When I was there there was no sign in process for dorms and you were free to come and go whenever and with whomever you wanted - not sure if that has changed. You can easily get away with drinking in your room underage as long as you keep the noise down and dont have anything in plain sight when someone knocks on the door. It is practically a non-issue if you can get into one of the parties in the Mods.

Campus Strictness: They can be pretty strict but as long as you don't make a ton of noise and get wasted and be an idiot, you'll be fine. If they catch you though you will get something. They won't just let you off, especially the BCPD.

Campus Strictness: If you are calling attention to what you are doing you will get written up, but the concequenses are minimal the first few times.

The BCPD is definitely strict about underage drinking and drug use, so you’ll have to learn the ropes if you ever want to participate in the social scene. However, “work hard, play hard” is an unofficial BC motto, so serious fun certainly can and does occur. The first few months of every semester are always deemed “lock down,” when the PD goes overboard in the strictness department. Usually it tapers off after a couple of weeks, so sit tight and drink quietly in your room. Keep the Beirut tournaments at a less-than-audible level, watch out for RAs, and try not to make any foolish mistakes.

The campus usually maintains a level of strictness not unlike that of a federal penitentiary. (Well, not quite that strict, but you get the picture.) Truthfully, the school recognizes how hard Boston College students work in their academic life and how much the students like to reward themselves for their efforts in their personal lives. BCPD cracks down on drinking as much as they can, but historically, young people will always find a way to “play hard.” You won’t find many BC students running through campus drunk and naked at any hour of the day, but a good party can always be found at some locale during the week. Students who are willing to search for personal enjoyment usually find a just compensation.
