4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: I haven't really eaten a lot of Indian food until I moved to South Carolina.

Off-Campus Dining: Downtown Greenville is full of great restaurants that aren't too far from the school if you have time and transportation. In regard to fast food, there are a few great places right across the street from school, including a Starbucks.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: There's a lot of off-campus dining options near my school. Within walking distance are a couple of Asian restaurants as well as your typical pizza place. There's also some good restaurants within a short driving distance near the mall and on Pelham road. Downtown there are a lot more nicer places to choose from with Italian, Indian, Greek, Chinese, and American cuisine. All of these places are relatively close to the campus and very in pricing.

Here’s the good news for the poor and hungry students: delicious food is available within a few miles from campus, and restaurants near the school are priced reasonably for college students. Downtown Greenville offers a variety of food choices at reasonable prices, as well, but not as cheap as the ones near campus. In a small town, there are a lot of restaurants to check out. Even though the food is cheap, students shouldn’t worry about the quality of the food. Most restaurants value their customers, use fresh ingredients, and keep their kitchen clean. Local restaurants sometimes offer students special discounts or coupons. A calendar of events is distributed at the beginning of the school year, which is a brochure that contains information on school events, local business advertisements, and coupons. Getting to know local restaurant owners and servers is very easy, and it is a tip that makes off-campus dining more fun.

Being a vegetarian or a vegan is a little bit harder in the South, since most restaurants have meat-oriented main courses. Even though there are menus for vegetarians or vegans in a majority of the restaurants, the dishes are not as good as the rest of the menu.
