Facts & Statistics

Tips for Getting In
  • Apply early. It is a pain to submit all of the paper work at the last minute.
  • Before making a final decision to attend BJU, take at least one opportunity to visit and check out the students, classes, and atmosphere of the school.
  • Check in with your admission adviser if you have any questions.
  • Do not waste your money on the SAT. Take the ACT.
  • Keep an open mind.
  • Know what you want to do with your life.
  • Prepare to become an independent person. Once you are dropped off at the school, you are on your own.
  • Prepare yourself academically throughout your high school years. At BJU, graduating on time is difficult without studying hard.

Interviews & Information Sessions
Once a student submits an application, an admissions adviser will contact the student within a week. BJU takes recommendation letters from pastors in place of having an interview. The students are always free to call or e-mail the adviser anytime.
Campus Tours
Campus tours run Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The meeting place for the tour is in front of the information desk, at least 10 minutes prior to the tour. Call (864) 242-5100 for more information.
Overnight Visits
Prospective students are always welcome to visit BJU. Even overnight! For those students who could not finish their exploration in a day, the school offers an overnight visiting package. Prospective students get to experience nightlife at BJU-prayer groups, lights out at midnight, the RAs "goodnight," etc. Overnight visits cost $6 per night, and the money covers room and board, the campus tour, and class shadowing. For more information, visit www.bju.edu/welcome/visit. Call the Welcome Center at (864) 242-5100 to make reservations.
