3 College Student

Overall Experience: I love this school, but some teachers do not help their students

2 College Student

Tuition & Financial Aid: I received no financial aid because of my dad's past job, but he no longer has that job. Additionally I am paying for college myself and they did not account for this.

4 College Student

Career Services: they help anytime and with anything

3 College Student

Academic Experience: everything went smoothly but some teachers are unenthusiastic

3 College Student

Online Courses: it was okay but I struggled and didn't have a teacher to go to

4 College Student

Student Body: people are generally nice and have a good attitude about learning

3 College Student

Campus Resources: the computer labs are often full, the computers are slow, but the computers are very nice and printing is easy.

3 College Student

Campus Resources: I was told I could not be in any activities since I took an advanced class in high school, but there are many offers and organizations for many people

College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: I do not qualify to receive federal financial aid. Tuition is very low, however, and I am able to save a large portion of the money my parents allotted me for education for medical school.

4 College Freshman

Online Courses: The professor is very reachable in office hours and the information is easy to self-teach. It simply requires reading the textbook and reviewing the notes supplied by the professor.

College Sophomore

Career Services: Since this is a community college a lot of the people, including myself plan to transfer for a four year degree so I am not entirely certain about what kind of post-grad service are offered.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: The campus at this school, especially for a community college, is beautiful.

Student Body: The students are, as a whole, good-hearted people. One problem I have seen is I think a lot of the younger people view it as the thirteenth grade. I think this is because to a lot of kids college is just something everybody does. The bright side is there are a lot of older people who, for some reason or another, back for another chance and, for this reason, they take their education very seriously.

Campus Resources: We are currently in the process of getting a new gym but for the time we have a small workout room.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: There are literally computers all over this school. It's a small school but there are at least six different areas with computers. This makes technology very accessible and easy to use.

Overall Experience: The teachers definitely make this school unique. All of the teachers genuinely care for their students. I had a teacher who would get to the class an hour early and just talk to us (anything from discussions about the class itself or just friendly conversation). The teachers are also very approachable.

5 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Going to a community college is easily the best way to go when it comes to getting a four year degree in the scheme of finances. Getting one's gen eds out of the way at a community college is a good way to save money; I have done this very thing at Blue Ridge.

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Online learning is, obviously, more difficult than traditional lectures. For this reason I enjoy it very much. I think it teaches self-discipline, personal accountability, and responsibility.

College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I go to a commmunity college and do not have a major at this point.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: It is quite easy to register for classes at Blue Ridge Community College, where I am a student. The teachers are some of the best I have ever had.

4 Recent Alumnus

Facilities: The school has a small school feel but it offers so much more than you would think. It is very community centered and offers alot in the way of community invlovement.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: The student center is always teaming with activity, and I the library is a good place to study. There are no athlectics on the campus.

4 Recent Alumnus

Online Courses: I've only taken one online class. In my opinion it was so much hardered than what would have been expected in the classroom. It was still a good experience.

3 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience: There isn't a major offered at the school because it is a community college. If you have a major of study that you want to head toward, you really won't know it unless you talk to others in your class.

3 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience: The academics in the school have always been good. With the growth of the school and need the class sizes have grown alot. New buildings have been built and the classes offered have expanded. Online classes have also expanded.
