4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The academics offered at BlackHawk College are wonderful. The registration process was easy and effective. They always have tutors available for any subject. They have an amazing list of classes you can take and if you are falling behind or miss some days they have someone call you and make sure you are ok.

Academic Experience: I have not yet started at school but from what I have toured of the College it is wonderful. We have to register on the web and it shows you how many people can be in a class and how many are currently in the class. I feel that this a WONDERFUL way to show how big or small your class size will be. The campus is beautiful and big enough to move around. When you walk into the main building they have a wonderful area where students can sit with a group or by themselves and study.

Academic Experience: I am still working on gen ed classes but have heard how well prepared students are after finishing the program.

Academic Experience: Some of the professors are great while others are not. Class registration is fairly easy once you have done it and understand the schools set up, however not all classes have class times at beginning of registration which can cause conflicts with other classes once times are put in. Also, instructors of classes are not always listed which makes it hard if you want a specific instructor because you like their teaching style.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: I really like all of my instructors except for one that I've had. The instructor I didn't care for had an extremely bad attitude from the first day, she was teaching a class that is required from the school called student success which teaches study habits and good rules to follow for being a successful student. Which is all great, except when I raise my hand and the teachers calls on me, I ask the question and then the teacher turns around like she didn't hear me, that happened three times in the first half hour of class. I think that's extremely unprofessional. Also she lied to the entire class about the process to "test out" of the class. I wanted to test out because I had to leave a class that I'm there for that was directly related to my degree to go to student success which I felt was all common sense anyway. So the fourth time I raised my hand and asked my question she decided to answer and say that it was it would take a minimum of 15 hours of writing essays and taking tests to "test out". Later that day I went to student services and asked about the process they sent me to a different person, long story short I finished the test out process in just under 4 hours, not exactly near 15 hours minimum. I don't appreciate being ignored or avoided by someone who is supposed to be here to help my education.
