Tuition & Financial Aid: The level of education that they provide in my opinion is excellent. All the professors are willing to help you with anything they can. And the financial aid office are just as helpful. If you have any questions they will answer them immediately for you.

Career Services: Blackhawk Technical College have alot of great services they offer. They will help you find a job, hire a tutor for you for free, and they are always looking for ways to help out their students. They have many different companies that hire directly through Blackhawk Tech.

Academic Flexibility: The flexibility of classes is great and the teachers are wonderful. They accommodate for the fact that we all have jobs or family issues that need to be taken care of. Just let the teacher know and you can either come to another class or make it up later.

Campus Resources: The resources at Blackhawk Technical college are great. The computers are always working well and they have a teach of excellent IT people.

Campus Resources: There's a gym and it is very neat and tidy on the inside. There are many computers throughout the school.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I had a lot of questions about financial aid, and the ladies in the office helped me out tremendously.

Student Body: Everyone at Blackhawk is very friendly if you need anything.

Campus Resources: Everyone that works at blackhawk is very helpful if you get lost, or need assistance.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid department is a headache. I feel the college is a business and not an Education center! Its a hassle to get financial aid. Everyone in the department is rude as well. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

College Sophomore

Student Body: I dont really know any of the student body. I'm not currently enrolled in a degree program. I am working towards getting the pre-reqs out of the way to petition for a program. from the classes i've taken so far, it is very diverse. There are people from all walks of life. There are older students and some younger students.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is reasonable especially since I am an out of state student.

Academic Flexibility: Admin staff doesnt not return phone calls or respond to emails. I was frustrated trying to get transfer credit and got a run around trying to figure out why I wasnt getting credit. Its frustrating when you are trying to get your classes in order to petition for entrance into a particular program.

Campus Resources: I believe that the school provides good resources on campus. They have a nice new gym that's available, the student center is a pretty nice place, however with that I wish they had outlets available at more seats. The library is pretty nice as well, however I wish that they let you check the books out longer then 3 weeks. The school is always hosting some kind of campus activity, I rarely attend but that's just because I have to many other obligations outside of school. The school campus has very nice aesthetics.

Academic Experience: I really like all of my instructors except for one that I've had. The instructor I didn't care for had an extremely bad attitude from the first day, she was teaching a class that is required from the school called student success which teaches study habits and good rules to follow for being a successful student. Which is all great, except when I raise my hand and the teachers calls on me, I ask the question and then the teacher turns around like she didn't hear me, that happened three times in the first half hour of class. I think that's extremely unprofessional. Also she lied to the entire class about the process to "test out" of the class. I wanted to test out because I had to leave a class that I'm there for that was directly related to my degree to go to student success which I felt was all common sense anyway. So the fourth time I raised my hand and asked my question she decided to answer and say that it was it would take a minimum of 15 hours of writing essays and taking tests to "test out". Later that day I went to student services and asked about the process they sent me to a different person, long story short I finished the test out process in just under 4 hours, not exactly near 15 hours minimum. I don't appreciate being ignored or avoided by someone who is supposed to be here to help my education.

Academic Experience: I truly enjoy the CNC Machining program at Blackhawk Technical college, I like the work at your own pace atmosphere. I really like that you have to want and try to learn and that it's not spoon fed to you, you have to really work for education. My instructor has been very helpful with trying to help me find a job that I would like and meets the requirments I'm looking for. I like the curriculum that has been chosen for my courses and how it is written and taught to me.

Academic Flexibility: The main reason I chose blackhawk technical college is because it's the only technical school in the area I live. I am satisfied with the education I am recieving. The thing I don't like is that alot of people in my class sit in the computer room on facebook and youtube instead of working on the machining or reading our school books. The reason I don't like this is because most of them to the bear minimum to pass and I don't want to be in the field with them. The reason I don't want to be in the field with them is because employers are going to learn very fast that they don't know much about the work and I'm afraid that employers will see I graduated from the same school and same class as them and believe that I don't know about the work either, even tho I am usually the only one or one of two on the machines which is horrible since last semester there was over fourty students in the class. However at the same moment I like how the class is, because the instructor doesn't spoon feed the information to you, you actually have to try and want to learn and show that to him.

Campus Resources: Library resources for students are great. More diverse clubs should be offered.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: Unfortunately, programs are favored by the Deans of the departments. I am in a good program. However, my instructors are put up against a brick wall for getting new teaching materials. VHS tapes are the only resources that the school gave them. Most of the time they had to search for you tube videos to support the class.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The Financial Aid department have answered my questions and helped me. However, I felt they were helping me because they absolutely had to help me. It was a job they did not like.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: The instructors I have worked with have been very friendly and understanding. I have even messaged instructors from other programs with questions. They still took the time to answer my email. Its a good school with good people working for them.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: The school is good for the kinds of careers that are in the area. I think the instructors know their subject matter well. I think what holds a lot of them back from getting more in depth is the fact that Blackhawk doesn't offer more specialized degrees. The degrees are kind of the run-of-the-mill tech degrees. I don't know what limits this, the community or the administrators.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: There's always something going on, whether it be a free movie night or an educational workshop. Things to help with computers, demonstrations on some new thing, lots goes on at Blackhawk.

4 College Junior

Career Services: There are a lot of alumni that you can get in touch with from your specific program and always an opportunity to network and find a job.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The school is very affordable, and I have had no problems with the financial aid process. They do have some sudden deadlines for tuition that can sneak up on you but they have payment plans and stuff to help you through it.

3 College Senior

Career Services: The career center is very informational and helpful. The alumni network is very strong and dedicated. I have heard from people that they help you with finding work. I am going back to finish so I have not experienced it yet.
