4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Campus safety is very present on campus. If you're ever needing a ride across campus late at night, you can call Campus Safety and they will take you!

Off-Campus Dining: There are a ton of fast food and sit down restaurants within a few minute drive of Biola.

Campus Housing: A few of the dorms are outdated (Alpha, Sigma, Hart), but some are beautiful and spacious (Horton, Hope).

Off-Campus Dining: It's just okay, most of the restaurants nearby are just chain restaurants.

Athletics: Intermurals are awesome, as dorm floors usually form teams. I love playing in the intermurals, as they include such sports as softball, basketball, soccer, frisbee, etc.

Campus Strictness: Our school is pretty strict and has community standards for a reason. We are a Christian school so it holds traditional Christian values and morals, such as no drinking, drugs, sex, etc while a student at here.

Academics: I am a nursing major. It is a lot of time and effort, and you have to really enjoy your science classes as a pre-clinical student in order to do well. It is definitely a sacrifice on social aspects but so worth it.

Biola boasts an amazing Christian fellowship that's focused on delivering the Gospel, not only to its students, but to the world surrounding it. In taking classes and attending lectures, students feel much more apt to take on the world, not only with renewed and strengthened faith, but also with a professional education.

Biola can be an adjustment. But once you get involved with on-campus jobs and school events, it becomes much easier. After spending time with the students and faculty, you'll come to realize that you'll never find a school quite like this. But it takes a little bit of work at first. Biola's teaching is amazing, and the community is unparalleled. Nowhere else on Earth can students strike up random conversations with anyone and be able to "Facebook-friend" them and ask them to coffee the very next day. If you value your education and want to surround yourself with God-fearing students serving each other and the Lord, then Biola is the place for you!
