College Junior

Career Services: This does not pertain to me.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: Computers and printers are readily available on our campus. There is a place on campus known as the SSS lab. In this lab, students receive free tutoring, and the computers and printers are here for us.

Online Courses: I have not taken online courses

Academic Flexibility: My flexibility of classes/curriculum was great. I did not work this semester, so my focus was strictly on school, family, and God. There was still the challenge of college courses. The best I could do was pray, study, stay ahead of the reading, and participate in classroom discussions.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition here is reasonable and affordable; however, I received scholarships that will pay my full two years here. If I were to have to pay, it would definitely be worth it. Tips for getting financial aid at my school would be to see someone in the Office of Student Services; they will help you.

Facilities: One thing that sets my school apart from other schools is that everyone is accepted. It's an environment, whether you're a genius or average individual, where you're treated fairly and helped in any way possible. Here at Bevill State Community College, we believe every student has the ability to learn and deserves someone by his or her side every step of the way.

Academic Experience: I've yet to enter into the nursing program, but I know it is a challenging yet rewarding one.

Campus Resources: The resources on campus are readily available. We only have intramural sports for now. Hopefully in the future, we can implement sports back onto our campus. The student center is known as the Bear's Den where I mentioned students come here to interact. The library is huge and offers a variety of books. Campus activities include intramural tournaments, pool tournaments, Fall Festivals, etc.... The campus aesthetics are overall tranquil. The huge lawn and exterior features of the building are really a sight to see.

Student Body: The Student Body at my school is diverse and friendly. I've yet to encounter a student who hasn't smiled and said a simple, "Hello." There's a space on our campus known as the Bear's Den; here, students interact and play pool, ping pong, study, or just sit around and talk.

Overall Experience: My Overall Experience at school so far has been amazing, yet a bit challenging. Transitioning from a high school setting to one of a college setting was odd initially; however, after getting to know the instructors, school's faculty, and student body, the experience got better with each day. My school is unique because it offers a welcoming environment where you can find assistance around every corner. I would choose my school again if I could do it all over again because of the student to teacher ratio, the numerous scholarships offered, and again because of the welcoming environment.

Tuition & Financial Aid: My experience with financial aid has been a good experience. I have received great help from the financial aid dept., and the people there have been great.
