Campus Housing: It was very fun and friendly on campus, as well as convenient. It was extremely close to class, even sometimes in the same building. The food was okay, and it's really expensive to live in the dorms, but had a great experience and it was a nice way to easy into living in a new place.

College Sophomore

Transportation: There is no system. It's in the heart of Boston, so public transportation is your best bet.

Campus Strictness: Not very strict. I mean, there are rules, but this is a music school, so there's goign to some allowneces

Campus Dining: There is a good variety and lots of choices. Prcies are ok

Computers: Often full... but in my opinion, if you're there studying music, you need your own computer anyway.

Diversity: Large white population. But world views etc are diverse

Athletics: There is an Ultimate Frisbee team but if you are looking for a school with outstanding athletics then Berklee is NOT the place for you. Although you can tryout for varsity athletics in schools near by, the coaches will accept students from other schools.

Campus Dining: There are a lot of Vegetarian and Gluten free options. The menu is very suitable for all diets and they change them frequently. But the availability of the caf is what I find to be frustrating. The salad bar and fruit/yogurt bar is always open but they don't always have actual meals outside of your standard meal times. Which could be a problem depending on peoples schedules and culture (international students out number American students). But the food around campus is great too! There are many varieties to choose from.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: Everything is within walking distance. The campus is in the city! The T and Bus are five dollars round trip but they stop running after 12:35 AM so if you are taking a late night trip, a taxi or walk is the way to go. But Taxis tend to be expensive.

Campus Strictness: Berklee is very strict with who comes in and out of the campus; because of the amount of equipment housed in every building, as well as the cost of the equipment; Berklee is very cautious with keeping their investments safe. Guest passes are needed for non residents, as well as time limitations and locational limitations for the guests.

Academics: I came to Berklee, College of Music because it has an Electronic production and design program, the campus is amazing, and the professors I have had have been phenomenal. They are available to answer any and all questions and give you extra help with anything. The entire class itself loves talking about the courses and helping each other out; its so inspiring,

Academics: I attend Berklee College of music; for my line of intended work, there is no school better. Professors at Berklee have Grammys, they have real world experience, they've toured around the world. They've not only been successful in the industry, some of them nearly run it. When you have this kind of guidance in your life, mixed with the added pressure and gift of a Berklee curriculum, the possibilities are endless.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Berklee has a very consistent cafeteria located in the main building, but sometimes the food can be to consistent with the cafeteria atmosphere; they never shake things up! Boston being a college town, the food services around Berklee are stacked with so many delicious options, its making my mouth water!

Majors: As an Electronic Production and Design major, I will be working on becoming efficient at working with hardware musical synthesizers, as well as applying them to compositional situations. Interning consists of creating music for podcasts, youtube channels, or any other online service where this type of music is popular.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Some guys are very handsome where as the girls on campus are always on point and sexy.

Transportation: If it isn't within walking distance a quick ride on the subway or a city bus is inexpensive and can get you within walking distance of your destination.

5 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Boston is a college town. It is easy to meet people, there is always a cultural event, many places to chill or drink or eat or find entertainment. Professional sports teams and a great baseball stadium make Boston one of the best places to attend school. The downside is the cost of living.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: students are generally left alone to make their own decisions after being given the rules and consequences of breaking them. The school is very strict about enforcing the consequences if you decide to break the rules.

3 College Student

Weather: Their are seasons, so it's beautiful in the summer and fall, but it gets pretty cold in the winter.

Nightlife: If you put yourself out there and make friends, nightlife can be fun.

Drug Safety: It really depends on who you hang out with and who you associate yourself with. Drinking is a popular activity amongst the older students, but you can avoid drugs by staying away from the people who do them.

Diversity: Percentage of the student body that is international: 28
Number of countries students are from: 91
Top five countries: Korea, Canada, Japan, Mexico, Italy
Percentage of the domestic student body that is African American: 9
Percentage of the domestic student body that is Hispanic: 12

5 College Freshman

Diversity: International, many people from different countries.

Parking: Students don't use cars. They use the "T" the subway. It's very good and one block away from school.

4 College Junior

Transportation: Transport in general is excellent. The T is at most a fifteen minute walk from anywhere on campus and is pretty reliable even though it can get kind of crowded. It's decently priced (something like $1.50).

Bus transportation is better in terms of effectiveness, and you can get a taxi anywhere. To get out of Boston, you can take the train at the end of the green line on the T, and the airport is fifteen minutes away.
