1 College Freshman

Greek Life: There's no sororities or fraternities unless you go through a partner school.

Parking: There's nowhere to park, and if there's a spot, it's almost like The Hunger Games - fight to the death.

Majors: For both of my majors, you just have to fill out a piece of paper. I was a performance major, which you must audition for, but I switched out of it.

College Sophomore

Greek Life: Berklee doesn't have Greek Life fortunately.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: i am a music business management and pro music dual major. I am mainly focusing on business with the addition of some extra performance classes. This will be my first semester taking classes within my major.

Academics: Most students agree that core music can be a pain sometimes, but it really rounds you out as a musician as a whole. There are definitely some faculty to stay away from and a lot of faculty that you definitely want to study with, but that's the same at most schools. The percussion faculty is phenomenal and I wish that I could study with every teacher there.

Off-Campus Housing: Back Bay, the area where Berklee is, is pretty pricey and the apartments are small. Moving outside of Back Bay, the properties are larger and are less expensive, but then you have to commute to school. Brookline is a very beautiful area-a lot of older people with families and jobs live here. Allston is where a lot of college students live. You can get houses out here and it's also where Berklee's Fordham Road practice facility is located. Allston is definitely very affordable, but the properties aren't always the best.
