Majors: The Contemporary Writing & Production (CWP) major gives a well-balanced approach to today's education which requires one not only to be well-versed in music but also in technology.

Computers: The computers in the Learning centers are great. There are many programs you can use for your projects! It's almost always available. There are many labs for programs almost everyday. Printing is easily accessed and internet speed is pretty good.

Scholarships: I had to go through the verification process for my fafsa which was a bit of hassle. But it was okay. I still received my grant. But I'm still waiting for the loan. Just apply in time and you will be fine. If there is any problem, just contact the Financial Aid office. They are always ready to help!!

Health & Safety: I never thought the campus was unsafe. There is security guard on the building 24/7. Nothing to worry about!

Campus Housing: The campus housing is usually clean with options and a good sense of community. Besides having to deal with construction outside and things like that, the are quality dorms in the heart of campus.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: If you can find it, the housing off-campus is ok. It can be expensive and some rate may be found if you neglect the problem for awhile (This is standard in a city). Get a realtor and he or she should be able to help you quickly.

Diversity: People from all around the world come here and each person has a very particular and unique background musically and ethically. It adds a pure depth and special reputation to the community. If it wasn't for this, Berklee wouldn't have such a great reputation.

Local Atmosphere: Berklee college of music has extremely free and good atmosphere. This is the best thing about this school. People are giving, kind and easy going.

Off-Campus Housing: I have really bad experience of housing off-campus. People are selfish, they are trying to steal your money, they're canceling meetings in the last minute, don't answer when they promised, apartments are expensive. Extremely expensive for students. Even college doesn't help you to find a place.

Parking: Parking on campus is pretty comfortable, even bicycles parking as well.

Campus Housing: I lived on campus for one year in 150 Mass Ave. dorms. It was great living there. They supply toilet paper which is awesome. Also the cafeteria was right downstairs so I didn't have to go far for food. They have a lot of fun activities for people that live on campus. For example, movie nights, field trips outside the school, dance classes, gym, and arts& crafts.

There I a hug lounge room with a big screen tv.

Computers: Berklee has awesome Mac desktops everywhere. We have two computer labs in the main 150 Mass Ave. building, one computer lab in Uchida Building on Boylston Street, and one lab in Hemenway building. There is awesome access to the labs all you need is your school Identification card. You can print for free which is awesome. The only thing is we are not allowed to print in color.

The network at Berklee is awesome! I always get service and if rare has been anything wrong I can just take it to the computer support center.

Diversity: Berklee is very diverse we have over 120 cultures represented at our school. Most of my close friends are from other countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia , South Korea, Tawaiann, Norway, Dominican Republic, and Brazil. Those are just some of the counties to give ou a picture of how diverse Berklee is. Most students that come there are international.

Health & Safety: I would say the health is pretty good. People don't get sick a lot around Berklee and the hygiene helps. There is always soap in the bathrooms. And there is purell dispensers in the hallways and in every classroom.

The safety at the school is okay. In the past year a few people have gotten there laptops stolen but that is usually outside, not in the school. Other than that I have never seen a fight or anything like that happen in school. It is a safe place to enjoy and learn music !

Drug Safety: The drug scene at Berklee is just like any other you might find at any other college you attend. There is a fair number of people who take part in it and a fair number who distance themselves from it. It is not distracting to anyone, everyone knows what they're really there for and they're able to focus on schoolwork. Alcohol might be a little more popular, but again it's not a problem or distraction

Majors: Admission into Berklee College of Music was pain-free and scheduling an audition was relatively easy. The staff and students are great with new applicants which made for a relaxing environment. The professors cover such a wide range of music genres that leaves the possibilities for audition piece choices almost endless. You can play any piece you're most comfortable with no matter what style; the school is interested in your playing ability, not whether you can play jazz or blues or R&B. The only advice I have for admission is to just be confident in your playing and not to be anxious or nervous because there is no intimidation involved in the process. Embrace the opportunity and if you just enjoy yourself then your audition will go just fine.

Academics: My major is jazz vocal. Is incredible possibility to discover your inner world and expand your knowledge and professional skills. It takes a lot of time and practicing - but for musicians it is a huge pleasure.

4 College Junior

Academics: There is a bunch of good professors and classes. Students just know how to manage them time and use all these possibilities.

5 College Junior

Diversity: Most of the Berklee students are international students from the different cultural backgrounds. But atmosphere in the school is very good and supportive.

5 College Junior

Computers: Computers are great and all technical equipment at Berklee is fantastic!

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Campus strictness, Drugs and Alcohol have a 0 toleration in this school. Berklee isnt a violent place, most of the students are from all around the world.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: Teachers are extremely prepared, they all have a name for themselves in the music industry, they are all walking encyclopedias.
