The party scene at Bentley varies from group to group and can be a bit of an adjustment for freshmen. Not everyone on campus drinks or parties, but those who do take it seriously. Everyone’s “welcome back” parties will die down in the beginning of October, then comes everyone's favorite: the Halloween parties. Of course, there are also random weekend parties, themed parties, finals parties, and farwell parties. Be sure to include the random nights of drinking too: Wine Wednesday and Thirsty Thursday are quite popular. It’s a sure bet that when going to an on-campus party, you will know at least half of the people there. Dorm room parties are fun when you’re a freshman—especially if you're going to upperclassman rooms—but come sophomore year, the crowded beer-pong parties can lose their appeal. So, feel free to explore some of the off-campus Greek parties, which can be a great time and allow you to meet new people every time.
Going to clubs or bars in Boston can also be a great time. The only drawback is that in order to make it back to Harvard Square on the T, you will have to leave the club early because the subway shuts down at 1 a.m. The shuttle now runs later hours though, so if you just get a cab to Cambridge, you can get back on campus before 3 a.m. Or you can grab a group of friends and take a cab back to the University.
