3 College Freshman

Transportation: Free shuttle, however only goes into town and has certain pick up times. Campus isolated, hard to get into town without transportation. Shuttles running to Albany airport and train station must be booked in advance and aren't cheap.

3 College Junior

Transportation: While the town of Bennington is not very far from the campus, it is hard to bike to it given the landscape and lack of bike paths. There are campus vans that run during the night and work like a free taxi service which are the biggest perk.

3 College Junior

Transportation: Plenty of people have cars and we've got a well-developed rideshare network. For travel to and from major destinations, there's the Albany airport about an hour away, and a train station at about the same distance. At the beginning and end of term Bennington runs a shuttle for small cost to and from Albany. For everyday travel, there's a bus that goes around town on a scheduled loop and students ride free. When the bus shuts down for the evening, Bennington runs a shuttle to and from town, also free--you show up, you ask them to take you to the grocery store or wherever, they drop you off, and you call when you want to be picked up. It's pretty convenient.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: The green mountain express will take you around the bennington area; it runs every hour until 5pm and is free to students. after 5pm the college has a shuttle service that will pick you up in town for free if you call. leaving the bennington area however is difficult and expensive unless you have a car
