Campus Strictness: The campus and the students are protected by the policies imposed by Belhaven. They are not overbearing or unfair, but rather are implemented and enforced for the good of the university at large.

Campus Strictness: The only rule that i can think of that is super strict is No guys in the girls dorm (lobbies only) and vice versa. Drug use is low, and very little drinking on campus.

Campus Strictness: Belhaven is a Presbyterian School that upholds a Christian Theistic Worldview. Because of that choice, they require certain standards for their students on campus. They do not agree with underage drinking or the use of illegal drugs. Therefore the campus is a dry campus and they do approach students who do not follow the rules. There is a dress code yet it is not very strict in my opinion. The few rules that they have put in place are to help their students to succeed in the best way.

Campus Strictness: For a Christian college, things are pretty laid back. Alcohol and related paraphernalia are not permitted on campus, but off campus use, at least by those of legal age, is permitted. While a tobacco-free campus, they don't prevent you from having it, as long as it's used outside of school grounds. Penalties aren't severe if you're not a repeat offender, with the exception of violence and illegal activities, which will more than likely result in your expulsion. Academically, if your GPA falls under a certain threshold, you're given a semester to bring it back up to acceptable levels. Should you be unable to do so, you will likely find yourself under a semester of academic suspension. For the most part, the rules aren't terribly restraining, and many students can spend the entire span of their education there without receiving a summons to the Dean of Student Life's office.

Campus Strictness: The strictness on campus is just for our protection. I appreciate the security measures they have in place, the noise curfew, and rules on drugs and alcohol. I'm sure some people complain about the rules, but there will always be those people.
