Academic Experience: The only issue I came across when choosing my major, was the one I wanted was listed as completely online. However, after further review, quite a few of the courses that were required for degree completion were only offered on campus. My advisor and I had to shuffle around my degree quite a bit to make it work for me.

Academic Experience: Once again, my advisor made this process extremely easy. She was able to recommend how many hours to start with, which classes to take when, and put me in touch with other professionals for my interested field.

College Junior

Student Body: I have had NO interaction with any of my fellow student. Be it from internet courses or on campus.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: My advisor is one of the best! She has worked closely with a 4 year university to make sure I am taking all of the courses I need to be able to transfer in order to complete my degree.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid office is ALWAYS quick to respond to any inquiries I have. And not only do they provide information to the questions I initially asked, but they include additional information!

College Junior

Career Services: I have not yet had an opportunity to work with any sort of career service with this institution.

Online Courses: Each teacher has an outlined schedule put in place as well as a syllabus given at the beginning of the course, just like a campus course would. However, they have their own lives outside of teaching, and sometimes, it seems as though they don't take their courses as seriously as some of the students. When email a professor, it sometimes takes as long as 4 days to receive a response.

Academic Flexibility: Honestly, as an online student, you have to be very strict with setting your own schedule. Teachers do not accept any late assignments as there is no way for them to tell what is a legitimate excuse.

3 College Junior

Facilities: The one thing I do love about my school is the amount of degrees offered completely online. I do not live anywhere close to campus, so this was my only option. Another thing is they partner closely with some of the 4-year universities in the area to match you to the best degree program. They offer a selection of classes as well as a recommended semester guideline.

College Junior

Campus Resources: I am a 100% online student, meaning I haven't stepped foot on campus. Unfortunately, the only resources available to my disposal are contacting different departments via email as well as a tutoring service offered by the school.

College Junior

Campus Resources: Again, since I am on online student, I have to utilize my own personal computer networking system.

2 College Junior

Overall Experience: I am very disappointed in the school spirit and the students who attend many do not strive to do better. The cafeteria is also a big disappointment.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Financial aid definitely depends on who you are. Many extracurricular programs will offer scholarships though but the school will only give out academic scholarships to in-state students.

3 College Junior

Facilities: The student activities center tries to hold events for students to participate but very few students do. One thing students do take part in is basketball games though.

2 College Junior

Campus Resources: Campus isn't the worst but the cafeteria makes it terrible. The cafeteria has very limited options of food, especially if you have food allergies. Along with its lacking of variety the campus cafeteria has VERY short open hours.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: The library computers and printers are great. The wifi in the dorms can be a little difficult though.

3 College Junior

Career Services: The lady working in career services is very nice and willing to help but there is only one person for the whole school.

College Junior

Online Courses: I have not taken an online class.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Everybody comes to Barton to get their general education requirements out the way.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Class sizes are very small which can be great, but the teachers treat students as if they were still in high school.

3 College Junior

Student Body: Many students are athletes and stick to their teams.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: There are many great places to go study and great program opportunities

4 College Sophomore

Career Services: Always helpful to get you on the right track.

Career Services: At the moment my husband is in the United States Army and we are stationed over seas in Germany. So, as you can imagine schooling for me can become difficult. Because of the major time difference, I stay up late to make phone calls to the school. There has been numerous times were the phones were not picked up and I couldn't get ahold of anyone. I think the quality of reaching out to students should be at a higher standard. One other thing I do no like is, I am unable to use student federal aid because I am not degree seeking there. I am having to pay out of pocket for my class I am attending. Other than those issues Barton has been a good college with many options I can choose from.

5 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid worked well with me to make sure I could afford to go here. They have some scholarships and grants.
