The drug scene at Barry is not too bad. There are a few students who get busted for drugs, but they are immediately kicked off campus, and the "drug scene" is not very noticeable on campus. Barry has a no-tolerance policy for drugs, and if you are suspected of having any, you are in trouble. You will be searched, your room will be searched, and you will be kicked off campus if drugs are found.

In terms of drinking, Miami is a party city, and underage drinking is prevalent on campus. The lifestyle goes with the territory, and it seems like there are very few college-aged people here who have not participated in underage drinking. No one is ever forced to drink, but a student may feel left out because everyone else is drinking. However, be careful on campus. If you are caught while intoxicated or even just assumed to be drunk, Barry will find you guilty. So, to be safe, do not drink or do any drugs near campus and be careful of the friends you hang around. If a rumor starts about you being drunk or high, your reputation is put into question immediately by the Barry staff.
