4 College Freshman

Academics: I like that the professors take time to help each student out and they also offer to help students during their office hours. Having review sessions to prepare us for an upcoming test are very beneficial. The professors are great!

2 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: all they care about is if you are insured by the expensive terrible low quality insurance they care about.

1 College Sophomore

Greek Life: The greek life options are terrible and they do not offer any good chapters.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: The workload is extremely heavy, the registration process can sometimes be frustrating depending on who the advisor is.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: I do not like how they are very strict with the guest policy. It is extremely irritating and feels like we are on lock down.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: The weather is usually ideal, which is the reason I moved to Florida in the first place. It is nothing less than what I expected.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: It is not the best, I wish they were more understanding and not so stingy with financial aid.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: There is not a massive amount of school spirit, and the fan base is not large.

2 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: there is not a wide variety of places to dine.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: I enjoy my major, it is very enticing. The workload is pretty heavy, and I do not enjoy how internships are limited.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: It was pretty easy getting into the program. The most important criteria was to keep your gpa at a certain average. They do not have an abnormal application process. Tips for admission would be to make sure it is what you really would like to do.

1 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: They do not have much to offer. The apartments that are close are not safe.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: no very strict about anything really except attendence

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: school nightlife sucks, so most students go to south beach to party

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: miamis a fun and crazy city but there is always something to do

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: most students are black or hispanic, if you are white you are a minority here

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: the security gaurds really dont do much and the campus is pretty much open to anyone

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: it was easy enough to fill out the forms, they did cut my aid my second year though

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: lots of kids smoke weeds and most drink as well, but theres no pressure

4 College Sophomore

Academics: this school has a good social work program and that is my major, not sure about the other programs

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: the upperclassman new dorms are nice, the freshman dorms suck

2 College Sophomore

Greek Life: not much greek life at all, and they do not throw parties

2 College Sophomore

Athletics: The teams do well ranking wise, but students in general do not attend sporting events except for homecoming week

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: The nightlife at our school is boring but normal. Nothing goes on at night here. I would love it if they made more activities for us.

College Freshman

Campus Strictness: I feel as though when it comes to inside the school campus strictness is strong. However when it comes to outside the school it lacks.Let me further explain that. The security that guard the school entrances aren't strict. Its as though any body whos any body could walk into this campus.Makes some of us feel unsafe.

Barry is a great university because it feels like its own community, yet everyone is so diverse and different. The class sizes here are small, and the professors are welcoming, warm, and give students personal attention, allowing for close-knit relationships to form between faculty and students. This makes each student feel like an individual who actually matters to the University. And it’s not just the professors who are welcoming—the other students here are very friendly, as well. From late-night snack runs to eating at the local restaurants with friends, students will create enough memories here to last a lifetime. Another perk is that Barry is very generous with financial aid, so if you think you can’t afford the tuition at this private school, think again.

And the fact that Barry is in Miami makes it even better. With its amazing beaches, clubs, restaurants, and entertainment, this city truly has it all! So if you’re looking for a unique college experience, give Barry a try, because as the motto says, “Barry is where you belong.”
