Academics: Most of the professors are good, the math department is HORRIBLE though. Pretty heavy work load

3 College Sophomore

Majors: I am personally not happy with my major, not because of the program its self but because I do not personally like the field. I plan on transferring schools, to be in a different program

4 College Sophomore

Majors: My major is social work and it is a really good program, and not hard to get into.

4 College Sophomore

Parking: parking is free for everyone which is a great perk. I am also able to park right in front of my dorm

5 College Sophomore

Weather: awesome weather, that the main reason why I moved to Miami

2 College Sophomore

Transportation: you basically need a car especially if you want to go to downtown miami

3 College Sophomore

Computers: they have many computer labs on campus. you only get a .50 credit for printing and it costs .5 a page which and it is annoying to always have to pay to print all the time. the wifi is not that great in the dorms at all times and overall the campus network is not very good

Health & Safety: Barry does a great job in keeping up with campus crime and safety. We have securities every where on campus, so the safety here is okay.

Overall Experience: This school is great. Campus is very beautiful and the professors are doing a great job. The only thing i'm having trouble with is paying for this school. My balance every semester was not affordable.

College Freshman

Greek Life: I'm not really too psyched about greek life but i heard it's good to join.

Campus Housing: I live in one of the best halls this year. I have plenty of room in my building but it would have been better if housing wasn't so expensive.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: Everyone is welcomed here at Barry. Religion and race doesn't matter.

College Freshman

Parking: I don't have a car to park so this question isn't for me.

5 College Freshman

Weather: Miami weather is perfect. But sometimes we have rainy days that usually ruin our outdoor activities.

4 College Freshman

Majors: It wasn't hard to get into this program. Barry is known for having an amazing business school so i picked the right University.

College Freshman

Majors: I am not eligible for an internship at the moment.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: The atmosphere is okay. And the events that Barry has are pretty amazing. They have days when they would provide transportation to the beach or to an arcade.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: It took me awhile to fill it out but it went pretty smooth. I received financial aid but not much.

5 College Freshman

Nightlife: Barry has a miami shores shuttle that transport student to the mall, publix, and other common stores. Students without cars find this very useful.

5 College Freshman

Majors: In SMIF, we have board advisory meetings at the end of every semester and I met a lot of high skilled workers that i plan to work with in the future for an internship.

5 College Freshman

Majors: I enjoy the program that I am in. I am currently in a organization called Student Manage Investment Funds and being part of this has increased my knowledge and I know more about the stock market.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: I don't usually eat off campus, so i wouldn't be able to give you my opinion about off-campus dining.

5 College Freshman

Drug Safety: They have a strict policy where students are not allowed to smoke marijuana or even have alcohol in the dorms. If a bottle is seen in a room of an underage student, they will enforce this policy and remove the student from housing.

5 College Freshman

Computers: There are an abundant numbers of computers on campus. They have a couple in the main building and another building where students come together to socialize. They placed these computers in a reasonable location and students are using them.

Barry is a great university because it feels like its own community, yet everyone is so diverse and different. The class sizes here are small, and the professors are welcoming, warm, and give students personal attention, allowing for close-knit relationships to form between faculty and students. This makes each student feel like an individual who actually matters to the University. And it’s not just the professors who are welcoming—the other students here are very friendly, as well. From late-night snack runs to eating at the local restaurants with friends, students will create enough memories here to last a lifetime. Another perk is that Barry is very generous with financial aid, so if you think you can’t afford the tuition at this private school, think again.

And the fact that Barry is in Miami makes it even better. With its amazing beaches, clubs, restaurants, and entertainment, this city truly has it all! So if you’re looking for a unique college experience, give Barry a try, because as the motto says, “Barry is where you belong.”
