4 College Sophomore

Nightlife: The best parties take place at he school auditorium

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Safety is good and very calm. when there is parties they can get a little fierce but when its time to have fun and forget the bad that's what we do.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: things are cool and mellow. although there are times where the local atmosphere is a little dull.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: There are times when we students get bored due to eating the same foods over again.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: i can honestly say that sports and business are the major parts of Barry university.

4 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Night life is good. Sometimes its difficult when you are underage but there are still places where you can have fun and that is what matters.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: It is neither bad nor good. The reason being there are times when people are out of hand but then there are sometimes where people just want to relax and have fun. Some the strictness on campus is thrown out of the water and sometimes its necessary.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: There were a few rough edges around school and classes. Some teachers are helpful some are not and that can really impact the student. We students know that we have to do things ourselves. Though there are some students that have a hard time asking for help and then don't and when grades come they know they could've done better but can not due to there incapability to ask for help. That is why some students don't come back to college or drop out.

College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I have not done any job or internships yet i want to do it my sophomore year if I'm able to go back to barry.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: There are more girls than guys at the school. but people still get along and its often someone finds an other that they like and have relations with and these relations are longer than anticipated.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: Theres room for improvement but overall facility are good and helpful.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: It is really diverse and not really a sex or race dominant school. everyone gets along with eachtoher yea there are problems but people fix them and move on.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I didn't get the most money. although it was the school that gave me the most money. they are hard to keep but easy to lose.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Dining: I don't visit the dinning hall much. When I do it is fine.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Fast food places are the most common but nothing healthy or new. Not really a good place for a university. A lot of students wish there were more options around.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: Nothing out of this world, could be better but good enough. I do think that for what we pay, we should be getting a lot more.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Not what i expected but it is a good school. My favorite is the small class ratio so it is easy to have good student-teacher communication.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Well known school, degree from here will take you a long way. They are very helpful with getting students greater opportunities beyond the ones given at the school. Most staff/teachers are very helpful.

College Sophomore

Diversity: Very diverse. Many different cultures, backgrounds, beliefs, sexual orientations, etc is clearly seen around campus.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: School spirit is mediocre. Not a huge thing but the games do have some attendance. could be way better.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: Many options available. School has a variety of majors and each department is relatively good.

College Sophomore

Majors: Each program is different. Some are more known that others. Overall, it is about who gets out there and get themselves known to the public. Good opportunities and experiences.

1 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Students do not get enough money for this school. Only people who get everything paid for are athletes who the majority of the time get other people to do their work for them. The regular, non-athlete student body works hard for good grades and do not get financially recognized for their work. It is an expensive school and over 90% of the student body struggles to pay for their attendance.

College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: School has an off campus dorm. But it is too expensive and not easy to get to.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Very strict. Security guards at multiple locations within one dorm building. Feel secure most of the time.

Barry is a great university because it feels like its own community, yet everyone is so diverse and different. The class sizes here are small, and the professors are welcoming, warm, and give students personal attention, allowing for close-knit relationships to form between faculty and students. This makes each student feel like an individual who actually matters to the University. And it’s not just the professors who are welcoming—the other students here are very friendly, as well. From late-night snack runs to eating at the local restaurants with friends, students will create enough memories here to last a lifetime. Another perk is that Barry is very generous with financial aid, so if you think you can’t afford the tuition at this private school, think again.

And the fact that Barry is in Miami makes it even better. With its amazing beaches, clubs, restaurants, and entertainment, this city truly has it all! So if you’re looking for a unique college experience, give Barry a try, because as the motto says, “Barry is where you belong.”
