A Really Great Experience – I'm day 2 into this school and how I got here was extremely easy. I first spent the day with one of the admissions advisors that I had talked to for the first time just that morning. She answered all the questions honestly and straight forward. I had some hurdles and she found ways around them. I met with the financial aid advisor that day and she answered all my questions without delay and without having even applied. After I did apply though, and she could enroll me the very next day, I found out that not all of my federal student aid covered the tuition. However, since my income ahd gone down the next tax year I did qualify for more aid in the fall. So that pretty much had my descision made on either day or evening classes because evening classes take a longer time to complete the degree (12 instead of 7 months for in the daytime) and that let me use more fianncial aid. I still owe $1,900 instead of $3,000 but I was able to split up the remaining balance in a payment plan. The financial aid department really works with you to help you achieve your goal. Nothing like I have seen at the two other schools I had looked at in the area. They also have an amazing job placement advisor that has a 90% placement rate. So not only is the administration helpful, you get alot of items and books with your tuition with really helpful and easy to understand instructors and assistants. Overall this school is a great value with strict but rewarding guidelines.
Because massage is a very hands-on learning program, there are no online classes. Maybe the anatomy and pathology classes could be taught online, but so far they are not.
Overall Good – The way the class schedule is set up can be very confusing and overwhelming to new students at first. However, once I got used to it, I am fine. Because of the program, there is no online classes, which I am fine with. I had hassles with financial aid because of the GI Bill and FAFSA not allowing me grants because I already have a bachelor's degree, which is not the school's fault.
The first half of the day is Lecture about the body. Second half of the day we do hands on massages.
