3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: If you have money and transportation, the city of Boston can be a blast clubbing and drinking with your friends, but for us average folks, it can be tough to afford and manage to attend such events.

Health & Safety: It's campus health services, you get what you expect. They are fairly good about scheduling you as soon as they can, the billing process can be a pain however.

Off-Campus Dining: There are a ton of restaurants and dining options in the area, my only complaint is that being in the town of Wellesley, prices can run pretty steep if you don't do your research.

4 College Sophomore

Parking: It's a large campus so there is plenty of space for parking near the dorms. It's cheap too, but they make you pay heavily elsewhere.

4 College Freshman

Greek Life: It is great and I am very excited to join.

2 College Freshman

Campus Dining: There should be more variety with the food.

2 College Freshman

Drug Safety: You can smell the alcohol and drugs in the residential halls.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: The gym is not that great although there were repairs that have taken place.

Academics: I haven't chosen my major yet.

Academics: The professors are all great and caring. They really want their students to do well.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: It's hard to get the financial aid I need and it is still a struggle.

3 College Freshman

Parking: I don't have a car, but it doesn't seem hard to park.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: Everyone is very accepting and very kind.

Nightlife: There isn't a lot of nightlife on my campus because many of the events tend to occur off campus and in the city.

Overall Experience: It's not that great, but many of the friends that I have made have made the experience more enjoyable and fun.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: My residential hall is the furthest away from everything and it takes a while to reach the other buildings.

2 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: There isn't much to do because the town is remote and the towns people do not tend to interact with the students on campus.

The best way to describe Babson: At first you'll feel like a fish out of water, but as time goes on, you somehow survive and become a lizard with tougher skin. No matter how hard you think your high school was, nothing can prepare you for the incredible and challenging academic life of a Babson freshman. Most students agree that the workload is by far larger than they initially expected. And although it takes some time to get used to the curriculum, students feel that the impeccable education is worth it.

Those who are unhappy with their education here are usually just not used to it yet. Many say that the school is too small and they get bored walking around campus and seeing the same people all the time. Voicing the fact that this college is smaller than many high schools is not uncommon here. Some students also complain that too many of their peers come from the same economic backgrounds, even though the campus is diverse in other aspects. The social scene, however, is better than expected for a business-oriented school, although it's not a party school by far. Students here are very serious about their education, and many are very competitive. School size is also directly proportional to the faculty-to-student ratio, which is where Babson excels in comparison to larger business schools. This ratio is important for the special attention that students receive from faculty. Professors are very well-educated and try their best to convey their knowledge to the young Babsonians. Although the workload can be shocking at first, it gets better with time. Most enjoy the challenges and hurdles of Babson's college experience, and believe that the education they receive is valuable to their future careers, and their future in general.
