5 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Azusa Pacific University is located near anything and everything you can ever want or need! There are plenty of things to do outside of school. You are about 30 minutes or less from the beach, Disneyland, museums, downtown LA, and other great attractions. Every weekend I had something great to do, whether I went to a Los Angeles Lakers game, Olvera Street, the beach, or movies, I always had a great time!

Local Atmosphere: APU campus has an amazing community and those in the surrounding area know and love the students.

Local Atmosphere: The location is great purely because you're a pretty short drive from everything. Azusa is in the San Gabriel Valley, which is pretty much Suburbia, however it's a short drive down the 210 to Pasadena, and a little farther you'll hit Los Angeles and Hollywood. I would say it takes about 30 minutes to get from Azusa to Burbank. Then there are the beaches. Take your pick. Close proximity to the Southern California mountain ranges, where you'll find hiking trails and even some snowboarding slopes.

Local Atmosphere: Azusa is not the richest or safest place to live in, but I have learned to think of it as home while I've been attending school at APU. The Azusa Police and APU Campus Safety do everything they can to keep the city safe. The city is close to a bunch of other small cities, but the larger cities like Pasadena or LA are a fair distance with a lot of traffic. There isn't much to do in this city, in fact most of my shopping or recreation is done outside of Azusa. However, I still think of Azusa as my second home.
